I understand english quite well but,anyway for me the subs watching a movie is important: film in english plus subs in english helps me to better understand the dialogue however I think that this issue will be solved in the next release so most of this complain about the product will stop

snorrie: no, again, that's not it. it's nothing to do with the encoding: the box is simply incapable of reliably keeping subtitles in sync with video when seeking through the video. it's happening to multiple reporters, with multiple subtitled videos.

Why C300 got new firmware 2 times!? And all owners of LOW cost units need to hear the story about UPcoming firmware!? |

You have to understand network stacks change you cant say well the network functioned fine on the A200 as they are not same stack, same as there is revision numbers on routers and switches and they all perform different even though its the same model. |

I cant say for sure but there have many concerns raised about problams with the A300. alot of them valid bugs. I assume the long wait Is do to the fact they are trying to get as much as possible fixed in this firmware instead of fixing 1 thing and having everyone else unhappy. I have 2 A-300's and have seen my share of bugs. some I can work around some I can't. I'd rather wait for a firmware that fixes everything than get a rushed firmware that leaves only a fraction of us happy.

Another C300 firmware out and no A300 in between. They don't care about A300 anymore it seems.

C-300 users of the MN200 had it broken by the last release so could not use their units at all. A quick fix was identified and that is all the latest C300 release does. ![]() I think we all can agree that the launch of the 300 series is unsatisfying in that manner it obviously isn't a product that is very complete and plug'n'play. I too wen't the A-300 way after comparing it with the alternatives and was convinced that in the long run I would be most satisfied with the more or less geeky device - Popcorn Hour. Of course like most (hopefully all) buyers I expected it to be plug'n'play, otherwise Syabas must have lost their heads releasing a "defective" product. Ok, my A-300 didn't plug'n'play. Lots of stutter and freezes, audio sync issues, sub issues. Reading the forums did somewhat trigger warning bells in my head, but I still believed this device was THE one (I still do). I managed to eliminate both stutter, freezes and audio sync completely, tweaking my switch and server. Whatever, as with many other newcomer products and a line of older PCH models, I trusted that fixes would be prompt and many. I agree with many of you it isn't prompt. I can be patient and will be waiting patiently for the ultimate fix coming up. I bought mine online January 3rd 2012 and need only subs (PGS + SRT) and the NMJ to be fixed. If these are done in the upcoming firmware I will be happy. The very frustrating thing for users/owners are the lack of info in long periods, whereas the very frustrating thing for the developers at Syabas would be promising this and that IF they would give information during their progress. I completely understand why Syabas is not giving progress status. It simply would be too stressful and end up with even more unsatified owners if they just ONE single time couldn't do as promised. The A-300 fix day MUST not disappoint. I believe we will soon have a killer product
