Newly downloaded movies not shown in NEW category
Just curious and hope anyone can help me.
My A210 downloads series and movies fine and they were all being sent to the correct folder on the network and local (A210). The thing that bothers me is that only newly added series are shown in the "NEW" section in YAMJ while the newly downloaded movies were not shown. I was under the impression newly downloaded movies will be shown in the "NEW" section of YAMJ. I'm using Eversion skin.

RE: Newly downloaded movies not shown in NEW category
YAMJ uses the modification date on the file. Often downloaded files have an incorrect date.

RE: Newly downloaded movies not shown in NEW category
Yes, 'touch' the file and the date will be set to today, it will then put it in the New category after a rescan.
In the PCH shell you can use the touch command eg touch <filename> If you are in windows I recommend a program called rtouch which gives you a right click menu option in Windows Exploser which you can get it to set the date to 'now' and it also recursively touches if you do it on a folder http://rtouch.sourceforge.net/ Samsung PS50P96FD Plasma (ISF Calibrated), Sony BDP-S550, SkyHD, HDMI 4x2 Matrix, Synology 1511+ with DX510 25TB NAS, Onkyo 605 receiver, Kef Q Series speakers QED cables. C200 & A210, A300 1.5TB Internal HDD in each. |

RE: Newly downloaded movies not shown in NEW category
no it will never be added.. setup your other tools correctly, or look for a newer tool they all do this and it's common across many software to do this.

cheers.
Just weird that it used to show the new movies but no more. Now, after using the "touch", all my new movies shown on the new category. Maybe there is command that I can add to My_YAMJ.cmd to touch the movies. lol.

It just that if I downloaded a new movies/series, I often go inside the NEW category and find them, easier than browsing the whole 500 titles. The thing is, now only new downloaded series got listed in the NEW tab while the movies, regardless if they are new or back from 2005, they are not being shown. If I want to watch them, I will have to browse the movie category which is painstakingly slow.

RE: Newly downloaded movies not shown in NEW category
Do you use sabnzbd to download the files?
If so There is "secret" setting called "ignore_unrar_dates" How to use it, is described here: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-special
