new problem
with the former model I can watch a blu ray iso network, today it is impossible via ethernet, I have a big problem of flow .the film stutters and I have no sound
even by changing the parameters in the popcorn a300
where is the gigabit?

Hi,
Mostly few problems with BD-iso playback here, try to power down the device and try again.
I must admit that sometimes the device refuses to work properly and the only thing which helps is a reboot or powercycle.
In my poinion this problem will HAVE to be fixed SOON.
Since this is one of the more expensive units you can buy, I expect at least that you can rely on it!
Syabas can do this! , hopefully they will, soon....

I'm a big fan of Popcorn Hour and PopBox, I own a A110, A200, A300 and a PopBox V8.

If they do not fix these issues we all know of, I swear next purchase I will not hessitate to buy a more interesting product, the good name PCH once had is just not what it used to be....in my opinion.

I’m having the same problem playing BD ISOs. It freezes too many times throughout the movie. This only happens when BD navigation is set to Simple BD or
AVCHD + Simple BD. However if it is set to Full navigation you will not have the stuttering problem, which tells me that the problem is not in the network. Unfortunately not all movies play with full navigation and you can’t have forced subtitles with full navigation.

The stuttering of BD ISO's also happens on the C-200 when BD navigation is set to Simple BD.

Hello,

I'm watching mainly MKVs with external .SRT subtitles.

When I'm selecting the .srt, the subtitles are getting out of sync and I have to use "0" to restart the movie to get them in sync.
When I'm pausing or seeking, the subtitles are almost always getting out of sync.
That's really really really annoying...

Do you have a manual fix for this ?

Thats not a fix. as when you use external subs and start watching a movie, then stop it and play it again the subs are out of sync.

Am I the only one to be very disappointed by the A300 ?

I bought it 2 months ago, thinking the pending issues would be adressed quickly as I read that Popcorn Hour products were synonym of active community and frequent firmware updates.

Two months later, I still can't pause a movie with subtitles, unless I'm losing the subtitles sync and have to start the movie again.

The moderator here seems to find it funny enough to use irony when a user asks for an ETA for this fix.
I find that quite sad, irrelevant, disrespectful... and it makes me angry.

This kind of answer makes me think of reselling my A300.
And I surely would'nt recommend anyone to buy it.

It's an international forum and sometimes things are lost in translation. I didn't find it ironic at all.

subtitles is part of the code that only sigma can update. sigma is not known for speed. firmwares are still coming out about the same frequency, the only real difference is there is no community beta team helping test so you don't see their replies letting people know that specific problems are confirmed fixed anymore.

It's true that external subs also get out of sync, but in my case only if I fast forward or rewind in the movie. I can stop and start and pause the movie and external subs are not out of sync. Internal subs are always a mess no matter what movie.

Still I agree, that something like subs (internal as external issues) just should have been fixed a looong time ago.

the a300 is useful for reading rips properly, but otherwise, I'm tired of rebooting all the time!
put it away and reused my a210 it works.
sick and tired of seeing all unfinished products and we take for beta testers
So we pay we deserve functional products!
and yet I love popcorn products
