Install Instruction

Quote:1. Unzip and copy all files into the root of a USB thumbdrive
2. Plug the USB thumbdrive into the NMT
3. Browse to the USB device and use the File Icon to browse to usbupdate.html
4. Press Enter on usbupdate.html, and another Enter on the listed firmware update link.
5. Firmware update will commence and will automatically reboots after done.
6. After NMT boots up with new firmware, please start the NMT setup wizard which you will find in the Setup under Maintenance.
7. Follow through the steps and select to update from USB.
8. NMT applications update will commence and will automatically reboots after it is done.
9. Final step we recommend is to reset the player to Factory Defaults, select this option in Setting > Maintenance.
10. Firmware and NMT applications update is completed at this point

but last time the firmware was shared Werner said to me that the next firmware would have the new NMJ version included, now I couldn't find it (as you say).
I was only curious if they missed something...

As mentioned this is only meant as a bug-fix version to the previous one, so it's not a real "next" version. I'll give it a try and see if it's an improvement.

keep in mind it's an RC so report anything you find so they can fix it up when they come back to it after the 300s.

NOTE TO EVERYONE: You've been ranting about wanting public beta's and not getting info on delays. They gave you both with this RC release. Keep this in mind before you decide to rant instead of posting good information to help them finish up the full firmware after the 300s are done. This might be your only chance to show syabas that future public betas are worthwhile.

might be old about a week ago this site was hit with a php injection its since been cleaned. ye its old. if you see they show it was detected on the 27th

Werner allways said there would be a final bug-fixing release, and then focus would be on porting NMJ for the next release.

There was already a public firmware release on May 23 (120517), and this being a RC, I guess there will be another final release in a couple of weeks (based on this RC).

This release is dated 120607. Since I doubt porting NMJ2 to the 200 series will take 2 weeks after the last firmware (perhaps 6-12 months with Syabas latest schedule of releasing firmwares), I guess this is an urgent release of some kind...

Can't install Transmission after update!!!
CSI shows installation proccess but on harddrive in apps folder it doesn't exist. also no shortcut in web services

I will not start whining (like most of the other people here) but will try to be constructive.
Thank you sincerely for this RC, because it fixed the problem of the network shortcuts. I can confirm them to be working correctly with CIFS and NFS. Avi files also seem to play much more stable now.
