You can disable Guest account after, but it works just until next reboot! So this is a no go solution.
I'm going back to old firmware (everything worked as it should).

With the DS412+, it doesn't work as soon as the guest account is disabled.

Wasn't this update supposed to support 1080 sup subtitles?
Created some subtitles with 3dsubtitler, but it is not displaying them.

1080p .sup works, its same format as in a bluray disc. 1080p sub/idx how ever will never work. the player will not crash anymore when a mkv has 1080p .sub but will not play it.

OK, now I'm pretty disappointed!

Just found out that the well-known 'PGS subs in MKV' timing problem is STILL there! The subtitles do at least start at the right time now, but they still stay much too long on screen. If no subtitle follows they stay up to 7 seconds on screen, which is TWICE as long as they are supposed to.

Dear Syabas guys: Why hasn't this been fixed ?? You had 1 year time to do that! It's a well-known bug and PGS subtitles in MKV files are more popular than ever (Thanks to the great tool MakeMKV)!

Could you PLEASE release a fix for that?

Upgrade to the latest firmware went really smooth. Really happy with that. So far everything runs excellent. Have no issues here.

Because many users sent their players back for RMA complaining of distorted sound when they boosted the volume.

It seems that they would/should have been told to turn the volume down to fix the problem before being issued an RMA.

It's too bad they changed it since a lot of users appreciated having it just to satisfy a few that didn't know how to use their PCH.

The synology NAS DS212+ have a account for the PCH (statich ip) and works fine. I have done the step 9 in firmware release,

Configure your Diskstation for NFS, it is a faster protocol and it does not have the login issue because you can grant access based on IP of your NMT on the diskstation.
