[FLASH SKIN] evZap! 1.2.1 (Updated: 29.04.12)

I'm using eversion R0155 with evZap 1.2.1 and yamj r2949 Running on a C-200 and an A-300
I'm having a problem with the certifications not showing up on the Movie details page when viewing on a Popcorn hour. They are there, and show up when I use a browser to view, but don't show up on the PCH as if the footer image is being cropped on the right side.
Any suggestions on how I might be able to fix this?

First, I recommend to update to the latest eversion revision, r0155 is really old (see recommended version in 1st post for evZap 1.2.1).

If the issue still remains:
We had this problem before when users just tried to overwrite the existing evZap version with 1.2.1; that won't work!
If you can see an image on the PC but not o the PCH it's usally an upper/lower case problem of the image file names (the detail screens don't use footers but single images).

Please check in the folder evZap/media/common/cert/ if the file names are EXACTLY the same like in the downloaded evZap package. They must be all-lower-case.

guys,

could someone inform how to change the cursor colour ?

to be more specific, when I browse my movies or trailers (wall) its difficult to see where the cursor is on the screen at any one time.

I would like to change it so the movie, trailer cover is surrounded say in red or something.

Is it at all possible ?

Sorry, that's not possibe. Both cursors are Flash swf files which are not editable.

If you're using the yellow cursor you could try to implement and adjust a modifiable cursor from http://forum.dentedboxes.com/topic/15-sh...-04022012/. But that won't be easy, either, since it had been made for experienced skin makers.

Hi,

I have one other question which is not a so much a problem and is only slightly annoying

If I look under "New", there is a movie that shows up which was deleted months ago. It has no cover or anything (just black) and does not show up anywhere else, just under "New" Searching for the movie name - Hunky dory - in the Jukebox also brings no results.

Is there somewere else I should be looking ?

yamj handles all the data so this is not a specific to evzap problem.

I would delete the Other_New_*.xml files from your jukebox and run yamj to replace them. If it shows up again, then you have something lingering in your video files somewhere and it's not completely deleted. A specific thread in the yamj forum for help on that would get the most help.

Yes,I had wondered if I should put in the Yamj forum.

I deleted two Other_New_1.xml files you mentioned. They were numbered 1 and 2.

Only problem is, running run_yamj.sh does not replace them.

Sounds like you have nothing that yamj should be adding to the new category. check teh wiki for new settings and remember it's based on filedate of the video file. default is only new files within 7 or 14 days with a cap at about 30 or so total

OK, now Im not really sure whats going on.

Added a new movie, ran yamj, appears under movies but on "New", error, Problem with other_new_1.xml.

In Jukebox, this file has not been created.

Now I have noticed the same thing happening under "ABC" but with several old movies which have long been deleted.

I tried to follow an older thread when I was using eversion to delete items like "ABC" and "NEW" but it appears not to work.

Is there a way to do this so only Movies, TV, Trailers, HD and Exit are left on the home page ?

same yamj bug. the main issue is you delete videos and yamj doesn't delete an index when it becomes empty, if your jukebox is rather small where you can get away with quickly remaking it without wasting too much time that might be your best solution until someone on the yamj team fixes it.

i think it took around 7 hours first time around so not something I really want to do.

In the end, I just deleted both "ABC" and "NEW" from the menu as I didn't really use them anyway.

Thanks to the authors, developers and contributors for this excellent skin. I have been testing it out on an A300 which will replace my A110 with YAMJ and Aeon (has worked great for many years, but I need Blu Ray ISO support now).

I have a couple of questions regarding evZap:

1. How can I change to color of the borders around the movie posters? I have them all white with the yellow cursor. However I would prefer if they were more subtle, like a grey color. Can this be done?

2. How can I change the items in the menu that appears on the right hand side of the screen?

3. One of the ways my family uses the jukebox is to look at trailers to decide if they will watch a movie. Currently with Aeon the trailer is one click from the movie wall and is easy to navigate to. With evZap the trailers are 2 clicks from the movie wall and are a bit awkward to navigate to. In my view evZap's 2 row movie wall provides an opportunity to make trailers viewable from the movie wall. Is there a way to add trailers into the "move wall info" view? (as in the detail view at the bottom of the screen when showing 2 rows of movies in wall view). This would be a massive usability improvement making the trailer available for viewing from the movie wall info view without having to click "info" or get into the movie details view.

4. Overlays confuse me a bit.. I would really only like Overlay to indicate when a poster on the wall represents a set. Is there any way to do this?
