PopcornHour A-110 won't start
Hi!
I have a PopcornHour A-110 with a hard drive (Western Digital) and I can't start the player. When I connect the power plug to the player the led on the player is red and I can't get it to switch to green. I have tried rebooting and pressing power+eject/delete and unplugging/plugging the power. I have also checked that the remote works with the camera trick. Naturally I can't either see anything on my TV (connected with HDMI). I hope someone knows how I could get my player switched on.
I am very grateful for any answer!
-Harry

Thanks for the reply. It did, however, unfortunately not help. The red light is on and the player doesen't respond when I press any buttons on the remote.

Have you pressed the reset button the front of the unit, you need something with a point to press it, when connected via composite ONLY and without any HDD or ethernet cable?

Thanks Chris for your answer!
I have pressed the reset button, but with no result.
I have read the NMTWiki, but I haven't still tried to connect the player with a composite cable, because I don't own one and I didn't know if it would help when the whole player is not responding. But if you think that it might help, I will go and by a composite cable and try to connect the player according to the "initial setup" instructions on NMTWiki and then report here if it helped.

I have now tried to connect the player to the TV with a composite cable. Unfortunately it did not help, I can't still turn on the player, the red led is always on. If this helps, I tried to connect the cable (with the usb in the other end) that you can transfer files to the player with, and the correct green led light up on the player, so this function abviously works. Can I use this to somehow turn on the player? I hope there is a way to fix my player!

RE: PopcornHour A-110 won't start
Very strange and for that reason alone I wold register at popcorn support:-
https://support.popcornhour.com/MyAccoun...ofile.aspx

Seems as if its getting power but either not enough to start up or somethings stopping it from starting.

I would try the firmware recovery via USB in case somehow the firmware is corrupted, USB works so it should be able to go through the process:-
