RE: Please help, choppy in playing Mkv 1080
Its a high bitrate MKV file with HP@L4.1.

How are you streaming as you should be using http and moving from an MKV to m2ts file with these type of files. Are you on a wired network?

Changing the container to m2ts is very easy, it is literally 2 clicks or os. Use TSMuxerGUI, you can find it in the usefull apps sticky in FAQ?Tutorials section.

Then you are streaming via the quickets method (http) with a format that only requires hardware decoding (m2ts) as opposed to MKV which requires the PCH to do some software parsing before passing on to the hardware decoder.

A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

thanks for quick response,
I just bought my PCH, im using USB hard drive, i will try to use txmuxergui.

thanks again
just one quick question, if we want to upgrade firmware, should we upgrade from the older one then step by step to the new one? or we could just straight to the new one? (sorry for my bad english).

Thanks

You can go straight to the latest with the A110 as the first firmware was a stepstone failsafe one.

RE: Please help, choppy in playing Mkv 1080
Do two things:-

First cut off a 75Mb sample from the original MKV via this guide, dead easy, even I can manage it:-
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...p?tid=7310
Get a sample that includes a problem part, you can specify a timestamp and cut from that point.

Upload the sample here:-
http://www6.zippyshare.com/

Second try a remux with the latest version of mkvtoolnix using mkvmerge from here:-
http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtool...-setup.exe

If you don't have Windows then there are versions for other OS's.

You are definitely NOT trying to play this file via SMB/NFS or WiFi are you?

RE: Please help, choppy in playing Mkv 1080
have you "re-booted" your PCH lately? try the reset button on the front of the PCH. sometimes that helps get it working correctly again after it gets hiccups and buffer issues.

RE: Please help, choppy in playing Mkv 1080
Is it possibly something to do with the frame rates?? From your Mediainfo output:

Frame rate : 23.976 fps
Original frame rate : 29.970 fps

Just a guess

i'm not sure if it's the same or not. if you're removing power, then it should be the same.

maybe the FW update will help you. good luck

RE: Please help, choppy in playing Mkv 1080
i don't think this should be related to the rpm.... but rather to the transfer rate... correct?
