Ultra simple jukebox
I've made my own personal video "jukebox". It ultra simple and easy to use.
My hard drive lists my movies as such: Movie Name (2000).mkv Movie Name (2000).jpg Since I wasn't interested in having any extra information about the movie besides just the artwork I just made a wall of 150x200px JPEGs with links to play the movies. I made it in dreamweaver by dumping the 250 or so JPEGs into a new project and then manually linking to each movie file. I didn't mind linking the files the first time, even though it took a while. However, when I need to add new movies - adding them in alphabetically and then linking takes a lot of time. So my question is: Does anyone know of some software that can automatically generate a HTML page and automatically link the imported images to another file with the same file name but different extension. Or something similar. I need to automatically be able to generate the following code by just pointing to a directory full of images and movies. Code: <a href="Movie Name (2000).mkv" vod><img src="Movie Name (2000).jpg" width="150" height="200" />Any ideas of how I could automate this would be great. Thanks! |

RE: Ultra simple jukebox
I guess you could script it, and it could probably be quite easy if you're good at it.
However I wrote a little program in Java that does what you requested. Though it seems I cannot attach any files on this forum, so you will have to PM me with your e-mail address, and I will send it to you if you're interested. |

RE: Ultra simple jukebox
I think you can do this with this nice little program :
http://www.rw-designer.com/photo-resizer-advanced I think you even can resize your pictures and make the code at the same time... |
