It's a A100 or isn't it? the HDM2 is a A110 or isn't it! They claimed to support Vietnamese srt but in microsoft 1258 format (They just use a microsoft-1258 ttf, I guess). ![]()

RE: Support for SRT subtitle in unicode ( Vietnamese langudge)
Ok, so it seems they have replaced the arial.ttf font in /bin/arial.ttf with a font supporting windows-1258 codepage. All we need is to find a font supporting that codepage and convert our unicode files to windows-1258 , using the tool provided by soncamedia or any other tool.
http://www.sonca.com.vn/uploads/Program/...er_new.zip I believe the ttf font that is used is inside this firmware file. http://www.sonca.com.vn/uploads/Program/syb8634.rar If anyone knows how to extract the font, then it's an easy way to get vietnamese fonts working on the nmt. Or if anyone have this nmt, please upload the *.ttf in /bin/ to us! [edit] Some one might want to try swapping the arial.ttf with the Arial Unicode MS font in Windows. I read it supports code page windows-1258... |

Wow, I hope you are right about that. Have to try it out !
I have a release of eagles eye, and it included viet subs. Dont know if they were in unicode though, so maybe thats why it didn't display properly. |

Apparently, with firmware 26/2/2008, utf-8 viet srt no longer need to be muxed into mkv, can be left in an utf-8 srt file: http://hdvietnam.com/diendan/showthread.php?p=55543 |
