YAMJ 13

Hi All,

Couple of questions if I may:

- I would like to change the genre llisting in YAMJ13, ie the list on the left in the GUI.

- I would like to change some of the genres on each film, as i find that lots of them fall into the wrong genre.

How can i do both of the above ?

Put <genre>CUSTOM</genre> Where customer is the genre you want, in a .nfo file the same as your movies.

Eg

Pulp Fiction.MKV

Pulp Ficiton.nfo (containing;

<genre>Cool</genre>

If your movies all have genre tags then only those genre tags will be used.

What about if I want to change the lsiting of genres in YAMJ13 - for instance if I didnt want TV box sets - how do I take that out of YAMJ13 and conversely how do I add ones that arent there like Sci-Fi for instance.

As far as I understand it, it generates those genres based on your media, so if you have no "Comedy" files, then it won't create that genre.

Sure someone will let me know I am wrong.

Well YAMJ13 brought up a lot of genres that I dont have already

Version 13 started using a different source for TV data than previous releases did. The new pluging provides some new, and some different genres than IMDB did (eg Sci Fi vs. Science Fiction)

If you have redundant genres showing up, or just ones that you don't want to see then you can define how YAMJ should treat those.

There is a file in your YAMJ directory called "genres.xml" that lists primary genres and subgenres. Simply add the genres you want to be removed from the list as a subgenre of one of the other genres you do want to keep and any movies listed there will now show up under the master genre.
