Extract all the files and folders in the zip file to a new folder on your PC. Start Music Jukebox and enter the input folder (location of your music relative to your PC), the output folder (where you want the menu to be, again relative to your PC) and the Popcorn Hour Path (the location of the menu relative to the PCH). Then click Generate... |

RE: Music Jukebox Release 4
Does that share have a name on your PCH?
if not then i think it should be file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/HPSERVER:MUSIC/ (provided it shows as all caps on your PCH) but wandidj might know better then i actually. |

Maybe on the left side from the index page! It makes me very happy if its possible!

If your folder structure contains genres (genre/artist/album), these will appear above the list of albums on each index page, be sure to enable Genres in advanced. I am working on adding genre if the folder structure does not support it (ID3 tag)... Alphabet links appear above this, linking to artist names. Sorting not supported. Year has been requested, but not supported yet. (12-04-2008 04:33 PM)idlejet Wrote: Okay found the instructions in the file and i have the following question... I have created another folder on my PC called C:\musicmenu. I have set my output to this folder. Once I am happy with the menu, I copy this folder to the PCH root folder. You can also create a folder on the PCH and set output to \\[pch name]\share\[menu folder on the PCH], but then if you mess up, your backup is gone... |

RE: Music Jukebox Release 4
I can't remember off the top of my head. Does this program scan for jsp files already?
If not i'd like to propose a feature request. Could we have it scan for jsp files (Excluding the directory with the outputed jsp files). Then make a genre for these called "Playlists" that would have all of them listed. The thought being that you could create your own custom "party" mixes or something...and then have them accessible in the jukebox. Also that playlist editor...i had a feature request for that...(and maybe it does this already and i just missed it). It'd be nice if we could use the GUI to build our own custom playlists... Basicly what i was kinda hoping for is....you browse for a file or directory. Select a music track (or whole directory) and that gets added to the playlist. There'd be a list of all tracks selected so far on the screen. You could then sort them how you wanted. Then when you're finished adding everything and putting the tracks in the order you want it builds the playlist file for you. Probably a crazy request...not sure its possible...but i figure it can't hurt to ask right? |

You can build playlists, click Playlists... on the main screen. Right now you have to select one file at a time to add it to a playlist. Someone has already requested selecting multiple files. I know that the playlist editor is going to need some work, but it is functional. It puts all the playlists in a folder named Playlists within the menu folder. If any playlists exist, a genre 'Playlists' is added to the main menu next time you run Music Jukebox. |

RE: Music Jukebox Release 4
Ahhh thats awsome! I totally missed that. I briefly messed around with that menu, but was working on like 4 other things at once
and didn't completely get how it worked.clearly i need to mess around with this thing some more before i make anymore feature requests ![]() I'm assuming this is a given since all other file types are...but just in case, when you add in jsp scanning i would think it should be optional. |

RE: Music Jukebox Release 4
I've been using the feature of albums containing multiple CD's and naming them CD_1_ xxxxx, CD_2_xxxxxx etc. and works nicely. The problem is that the links on the page are displayed in a dark blue color and are hard to see against the blackish background.
They change color to yellow when you select them, but then turn blue again when they loose focus. Played around with the .css file but could not seem to change that color. In a normal web browser they show up as a rose colored link and are easy to see. I assume it is the #FF8080 color. I tried changing that but no effect in the PCH. Anything else I could try? |
