RE: Support thread for HeartWare's PopCorn MKV Chapter Maker
Great program. Except it doesn't seem to mux the mkv with the chapters nor does it save the xml file. What could I be doing wrong? From a previous post I thought the xml file would go into the same folder as the mkv file but when I hit save nothing happens.

Thanks for any help.

RE: Support thread for HeartWare's PopCorn MKV Chapter Maker
I have just done this with 6 .MKV files today, so I know it does (if you do it the right way).

How did you start making chapters? Did you start by loading the .MKV file to make chapters for, or what? What have you specified as the output format, and have you selected a local override, and if so, what is the output then defined as in the override?

This is the procedure that I followed:

1) Open Chaptermaker.exe.
2) Import video
3) Went to Barnes and Nobel and dragged the scenes tab over (btw, that is an awesome feature)
4) The following checked ON - Global Output Format - XML. Multi-Lines Tab - checked. Use Local Settings For this file - Check ON. Overide Output format - MKV - checked ON.
5) Hit SAVE

After that nothing happens. I do have MKVtools in the c:/program Files directory. Is MKVmerge supposed to be running?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, it is...

I have recreated the problem here and have fixed it. Download the new version and it should work.

Thank you so much for looking into this and +10000 for taking care of it so quickly!

I'm off on a business trip today but will return on Thursday and let you know if that did the trick.

Thanks again!

Sorry for taking so long to reply back. Personal issues came up and only now am I able to reply.

So I did try it again but unfortunately the end product would make my WD TV Live Plus crash every time. Actually, not crash but it would not play the mkv with the chapters nor any other mkv's after that.

Thanks anyway.

P.

Sounds like a bug that should be reported to WD Support...

Nope.

I have no idea which class it needs (I don't explicitly expect any classes).

Have you installed MediaInfo? Have you installed MkvMerge?

If you are running x64-version of Windows, you need to install the 32-bit versions of these programs, as ChapterMaker is a 32-bit program and thus cannot communicate with 64-bit utilities...
