For future reference (anyone), adding webservices using the CSI will not work with an older firmware.
Make sure you have updated the firmware to the latest version! Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |

RE: [CSI] **** UPDATED **** Community Software Installer 1.7.2 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Hi,
Just been playing around with a few buffering images. here you state that they can be 720 by 480 (or 1280 by 720 not sure; give feedback!). Not sure if you are aware, they do work if they are 1280 by 720 but when you bring up the info box, if you have used the larger background then this info box is shrunk and hovers around the middle left of the screen, given the now larger resolution of the background. what if buttering1 meant to change? this is listed as "default waiting screen" all the others are listed as "default buffering screen"? this image is 1280 by 720? one other reason i'm a little confused is HDMI handshake seems to take so long on my TV that I don't actually get to see the buffering screen, I just about get the remember to backup your hard disk one with DVD files. In the link at the top, you also mention .bmp files? although the installer doesn't seem to like .bmp files, only jpg... |

I didnt realize the size could be changed. Has anyone found out what playpic is used for? |

They can be 1280x720 but then all the OSD text is also in highres and not correct aligned anymore. Like subtitles etc. Better stick to 720x480 then. They are all just based in a form on the "default buffering screen". It's just a description of the JPG file. It can be changed ofcourse. Regarding description, no they are listed as "default buffering screen with buttering joke". In other words, based upon the default buttering screen but with the buttings in stead of buffering. If you are feeling luck please provide better descriptions

Sorry Ger Teunis, it's just the discription of the first "buttering" screen, it says "waiting" not "buffering" in the discription. I only question as I can't see any of the images due to my TV...

@ Ger Teunis
Do you have a link so i can read up more on the Web server thats available for installation in the CSI? I kinda wanna read more about how it works, and whats involved in using it before i install it. The link given in CSI seems to take me to your webpage for transmission. I poked around that site but i didn't notice anything there about it. |

When you install a web server it will reconfigure an internal http server (the one used for casgle and nzbget) to also server pages in /share/.www/localhost For the techies> it will include /share/.www/httpd.conf in /mnt/syb8634/server/php5server/httpd.conf You are able to use php (.php) pages as well as cgi (.cgi) in that folder. But keep in mind if both "Usenet" and "Casgle" are disabled on the NMT the webserver will be stopped and thus also your own homepage. RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 1.7.2 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
What the... I just ignored this as it was Windows only, well at least initially. I got it to run on my OsX box just fine, so I'm all for it. No need with the CGI install scripts?
Anyway, just need to throw the exe in an .App bundle, slap an icon on it and it'll be fine. The RAR support could do with an installer.... |

Welcome onboard lundman! If you want more (kinda basic) info regarding the packages (and a template installer zip) please browse to http://www.nmtinstaller.com/?p=createpackage Is there any way we can create a installer for OSX which will take care of installing the latest Mono 2.4 release and start NMT automatically? RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 1.7.2 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
I guess I'm a bit confused on how to get the CSI to work on OS-X. I have Mono 2.4 installed on my computer but beyond that I don't see an OS-X version on the download page. Primarily I want to installed Trasmission on my PCH, I use it on my Mac and like it and would like to have available to me on the PCH. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 1.7.2 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Yeah, i need some help getting a package ready for OSX.
Download the portable edition (with an exe in it) and extract it in an convenient location. For the time being, open a terminal (do not know if terminology is okay for osx) and type: Code: cd "path_to_the_exe_file"Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |
