Repository Changes Applications Code: - Upgraded Filemanager to version 1.0.2Themes Code: - Added CarbonStill a bit quiet here, but I can assure you; lots of downloads. Around 1.5 GB of compressed content per day is being installed using the CSI (hope my domain and web hoster will not start to complain )!

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 1.6.3
Hi i got a question installed HDX-1000 newest firmware last night and i tried to install
telnet, busybox and midnightcommander then but the installation app freezes so it can't install it. now i dont need telnet, because my problem is solved. the question is can i remove everything in the ./bin directory (\\192.168.1.10\share\.bin)? every file in that directory is 1259Kb about 360mb or do i have to have them there? |

You can safely remove any files from .bin and bin folder, but please note it should be around 3.xx MB Not 360 mb! Check if no files are there they you want to save! RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 1.6.3
Those files are symbolic links and do not use any extra space. There is only one real file 'busybox'.
But if telnet is not installed properly you could delete (may be better to just leave them). If you delete them, you may also want to edit /share/start_app.sh (with a unix friendly text editor - see wiki) , and remove the single line that mentions telnetd (make a backup first) Oversight: Jukebox | FeedTime: Automatic nzbs |

There is 288files and each is 1259kB so ~354mB is in that directory.. Im deleting them if something goes wrong i can always make a new firmware update.. |

Please also remove the line with "telnetd" in it from start_app.sh on your drive like lordy suggested. RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 1.6.3
Tried to delete them but error while deleting them.
so i went for a full install again and this time it, i let the application be running for a while.. Anyway is there a way to uninstall the telnet thing if i dont need it, i mean it uses resources on the system anyway or is it only small memory and cpu resources from the system? |

The rest are 'symbolic links' It's just windows doesn't show them properly. There is only about 3MB in that folder. 1.2MB for busybox and 2.2MB for mc (all the rest are pointers to busybox) Still you can delete anyway. PS There was a delete error from windows because of user permissions on that folder it looks like. All files are owned by root. PPS You are re-installing all for the sake of 3MB of files

But the NMT CSI wont install the telnet and busybox, it hangs. im still have the application open, have been installing for about 40minutes now should i quit the application or do i have to wait more? |

Thereafter I reinstalled telnet/mc with the help of CSI, install took about 20 secs or so....no problem whatsoever. I know this doesn't help Angelkiller, but it's just to confirm it seems the new firmware and CSI are not to blame.. |

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 1.6.3
i installed the stopactivehddstandby thingy, the functionality worked good but it's gone after a reboot
i got these entries in start_app.sh in the root of my hd: on a sidenote, the hard disk index.htm also doesn't open automatically on a reboot (the hd was mounted before the reboot) the mono wrapper still works tough |

Okay, I think it is not able to kill telnetd which is already running? Open telnet to the NMT, then type Code: kill -9 telnetdAnd retry. You'll have to apply it after every reboot. I'll fix that later on (i am the package maintainer for that thingy). index.htm does not open directly after reboot, you need to select the "source" after reboot. Sadly CSI cannot help you out there, that is controlled by the firmware. If you do not like that please file a firmware feature request somewhere else on the forums
