Nope. please disable any firewalls or proxy servers and try again.
Perhaps a firewall is blocking access or the proxy settings are incorrect (option: do not use for local addresses should be used).

You're on 'Free' provider right? Please read up a few posts. Free blocks a range of computers. One of these computers is the server of nmtinstaller.com. They refuse to unblock or even to give any support, not important enough.
Please contact your provider, hope they'll listen if more people are complaining.

I just tried to install another program (torrentwatch)and unbelievably its installed. then i tried to install transmission again but no luck. It gives the same error. I think we are sure that isn't a firewall or proxy problem.

I solved the problem with simply erasing init file and replacing the new one.

Nice find, now when you tell the solution it sounds logical to me.
The AppInit file got corrupted, I'll implement a better update routine in the next version. Great to hear it is up and running again for you.

Ger,
a quick question about the "Free" issue, just wondering, are the screenshots hosted on a different server than nmtinstaller.com ? Cause if CSI still does not work the usual way for the "Free" users, the screenshots are displayed though ... and as i can see through my network mon, screenshots are downloaded from somewhere Undecided

Some good news (hopefully) for the Free users.
My hosting provider is moving the site and repository to a new and more powerful server, hoping to a server which is not blocked by "Free".

We'll see.

Could you try the following in a command (cmd / dos) window?
(administrator mode on vista).

ipconfig /flushdns

Server has been migrated to the new, much faster server.
It may take a while for the DNS records to get updated for anyone.
The whole process will take 2 to 4 hours, no changes needed on your side.

Hopefully the 'Free' internet provider users are able to use CSI again.
