Is this webserver usable without running a PC on the background?

Yes - I'm running it on a remote server / website. But i'm still not able to get past what looks like an encoding issue.

I assume thats a screen shot from the pch? what you need to do is add vod="" to the a href link and it will bring up the file in the player for non-iso/video rips to play it..

First, thanks for a lovely utility!

A question though, maybe I'm stupid but should I be able to do a search on my local web browser on the PC, click on a link in the result list and get my PH to play it? What happens is I get a question to save a file called "videoplayback" From the PH itself it's working OK but incredible painful to use the remote to type in the search.

Use a USB keyboard, make sure it is plugged into the unit and then boot.

The youtube api has been change a couple of times and i cant get an online version working anymore, just the standalone thingy that's been very buggy (roughly 25% of the video's still play).
I suggest buying a popbox / A/C-200
Maybe it'll return someday but don't count on it.

Go with the Youtube Lite name and enter it next month.
For those with slow or limited bandwidth it may be useful.
