Almost; your missing the double quotes, so the right syntax should be: TExT But it still won't work, 'cause the player in the PCH doesn't support the .ra format. Same reason the link works in your VLC player, but doesn't in windowsmediaplayer. |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
It's a nice list, but my 110 becomes unusable after playing just a few streams
If I play a feed like TV Canada English, the video and audio will play well.. If I stop that and then play TV Canada French, I'll get audio but no video. From that point on, none of my feeds will have video, even the once I just watched. The screen will stay blank, sometimes playing audio. In fact, once this happens the 110 will refuse to play any videos At All, even the videos on my hard drive. I have to soft reset the system before it will play anything. Perhaps it's running out of memory? I typically just run the myiHome, Samba, and Torrent servers. Whatever the reason, I suspect the 110 software is still a bit too flaky to reliably play live streams. |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
Just tried some of the links and. There is video on a few.
But radio get black screen (perhaps ok) No sound ever so thats not OK.... is this perhaps a bug in the rstp protocol handling of streaming in the newest firmware? I have an A110 and optical sound to my reciever. The a110 needs to be restarted (via pulling the plug) atleast once a day to function. Why is this? |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
Here are a few I've collected that seem to work on my A110 with current firmware. I find that streams under 500kb/sec work the best on my network. I'm running the A110 with no internal hard drive so it is bone stock.
Code: <a href="rtsp://quik4.impek.tv/brtv" vod>Board Riders Tv</a> If I change to another channel or link, sometimes I will get a black screen for several minutes. After it recovers, the sound may be missing from the next stream, if it plays at all. Often the same thing will occur after the end of a movie stream. To correct the problem, I have to use a hard power reset. I've found that playing any videos off the internet on the A110 to be quite buggy with regards to hanging and needing a hard reset. Hopefully they will come up with a good watchdog routine that will allow it to gracefully recover and continue. |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
I just noticed in my post above that two of the links were from the same domain. Upon further search, I found these that work as well!
Code: <a href="rtsp://85.214.87.175/toon-tv/" vod>Toon TV</a>P.S. Obviously I'm missing something to get the code blocking to work in this forum. |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
The following HTML code is what I'm using for my streaming menu on the PCH. Pretty much the same as the start of this thread, but laid out in three columns with larger text. May be edited to suit you own needs.
Code: <html>I also placed brief instructions at the top of the web page menu. You can change as you wish... |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
Here are a few streams from TV Knob and I think they provide a pretty good service.
Code: <a href="rtsp://streams.tvknob.com/tvloops/CH5/tvknob.wsx" vod>TvKnob 5 Comedy</a>My PCH has some difficulty with CH9 and CH10 in that sometimes the audio chops in and out at about 1 second intervals. Some streams on these channels are OK, but others are choppy. On all streaming channels that I have tried, when the program ends and the stream is spliced with a new stream (next program, commercial break, station ID...), the PCH chokes (black screen) and does not seem to acquire the next program stream. Not sure why this is, but I'm sure the developers could find a cure if/when they have time. My hat is off to the development community for getting it working this far and I would certainly vote for more development in this area. Thanx! |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
Here are a few more that I found to work at my location. Some have issues like when the stream ends, the PCH will hang with a black screen. Others have sound issues on some streams. Even when a mms stream plays fine on a PC, it may not play at all on the PCH. You just have to test each stream you find to see which ones work without locking up the PCH on the first click.
Code: <a href="rtsp://asf.narrowstep.tv/mcp?psid=65611530&ref=0&chid=425&pid=2437&vid=54324921&br=400&tid=2&brid=506" vod>Globe Trekker 400K</a>I sure wish the PCH firmware could test the stream and if it does not see an active stream, it would prompt you to that effect and return to the previous menu. The same thing should occur when a stream ends if there is no way to sync with a follow-on stream from the same URL. |

RE: Here are links to LIVE TV & Radio for the PCH (updated 2 Jan 2009)
Hi,
Thanks for the wonderful posts for these links. I am trying to play the following links but seem to be having issues. I can only hear audio and that too very choppy. Would anyone please try these and confirm that they are actually non-playable on the PCH or is it something I was having bad luck wth. CNBC Awaaz CNBC India |
