MY LIL MOVIE JUKEBOX rev 6 FANART, TV Series/Boxsets
And don't forget to go vote for your favorite jukebox... http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=29328 Revision 6 is up! Many thanks to Gary (GSBAKER) for his help with the MJ100_Detail.xsl file and advice! A#1 guy all around!!! Nice Demo showing rev 6 in action!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtPImwm5uYc [img][/img] Revision 6 has enhanced support for TV Series and Boxsets. ![]() When you add episodes to a TV Series/Boxset, the Detail.xsl file will automatically format the output appropriately. Note that for Series/Boxsets with episodes, ... the movie cover is restricted to being displayed as a thumbnail in hte upper left corner as shown, plus this is always displayed in jpg format. Also , there are no options for the back cover, ... at least where episodes are concerned.... because there must be a tradeoff in order to display the episodes as best as possible . Plus there now is a QUICK EXPORT button for when you're adding just a movie or two. Also have options for Index Listing alphabetically and skipping the Zero Movie Check when you have all genres populated. ![]() Plus you now have a number of options for how you want the Series/boxsets handled. You can leave Series/Boxsets as before, with each entry showing thoughout, or you can make a Series/Boxset Cover, ... ie ROCKY The Complete Saga, ... and then when you Click on this Cover, you'll be taken to another menu showing the individual movies in the boxset. Ditto for Series. And, using the filters, you can decide how and where you want the individual movies displayed. When displaying individual movies in a boxset,.. the year will always be displayed under the movie and they will be sorted by year (oldest first). Also, when you're in the Index menus, you can EXIT to the PCH HD Menu by pressing the HOME key. See Appendix 7 for more info... http://www.treasure-cove.net/appendix7.htm The only files that have changed since the latest rev 5 is .. MJ100_Detail.xsl Movie_Jukebox_EXPORT_123108.exe Movie_Jukebox_SETUP_123108.exe Enjoy! ![]() Wanna add fanart? go here: http://www.treasure-cove.net/fanart.htm Take Care Allen A-110, & C-200 with SSD/BluRay. RE: MY LIL MOVIE JUKEBOX rev 6 enhanced TV Series/Boxsets
This looks awesome!
Two quick questions... 1) Since you've changed the MJ100_Detail.xsl file, I think this means this only works for the HD version for now - are there plans to make this work on SD version? 2) HOW do I get the title of the movie to show up under the images (instead of the year)? I tried changing various variables in the SD100_Index.xsl and SD100_Variables.xsl files, but to no avail. Is this even possible in the SD version? I'd like to know how to do it in the SD and HD versions, if possible. I know, I know, stupid me with no HD TV, but I still want to be cool ![]() Thanks! BTW, here's the changelog on your site: Quote:Change Log: That's some fancy time machine you must have ![]() Happy New Year everyone

RE: MY LIL MOVIE JUKEBOX rev 6 enhanced TV Series/Boxsets
Allen,
I've downloaded R6 now and setup this. I'm still having and issue of the export not selecting ALL movies. But I have noticed one thing. I setup series Dexter and for some reason that is ALL that it tries to export. So with that information I attempted to make a "ALL" filter and tried again. This time it looked like it was trying to send ALL movies to every GENRE. For some reason this did not look correct. For some reason it looks like it will grab the last filter that has a check mark next to it...messing up things. Is there some setting or something that I may have missed? I'm trying to move the software from my laptop to my desktop and now it no longer works. I thought I had all the settings copied from each screen to the new...but have since unintalled the old. In MoC is go to Export HTML and see some other "Movies to Export" selected other than the "All Movies". To change this I do not see the "Export" button highlighted. Only if I click in tab "Index Template" and select Customize or select a template from the list will the "Export" button become available. If I select the list "Movie Jukebox NMT" I get and error that template MJ100_Index.xsl is not found. Is this all wrong here? I'm afraid of running the export too far and actually updating the PH with crap...so I cancel out if it looks bad. Also, love the series example...but where do you type in the series (each episode) information? Is that manual? And do we need to setup ONE movie for each episode now? The old way had one movie and listed 12 episodes for Dexter. So will we now have 12 replacing that one? Do not see where any site download each episode information. Thanks. |

If I add 1 movie to my 1200+ collection and Click on QuickUpdate, .. it takes just over 2 minutes to do the export. TV Series was one area that I had been dodging for some time, ... until I got all of the episodes to DExter. Now, I just bought Centennial, so I can't wait to get it and RIp and install on my Qnap. I'm up to over 1200 movies in my collection now.

And it's not too hard to replace the unreadable covers with legible ones (or at least remember what they are from the picture).Kudos again on the new revision...it's freakin' awesome!!! Now I need an HD set for my birthday... |

RE: MY LIL MOVIE JUKEBOX rev 6 enhanced TV Series/Boxsets
Hello Legion455 !
First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR ! Great works with TV Series, really. I can't resist anymore to use your jukebox app, but I would like to use XMM instead of Movie Collector, I don't want to buy it. Have you any news about XMM conversion ? Is there a beta of MyLil able to use XMM? I'm Italian, and if you want I can become a beta tester for you. I can work with Alessio (XMM creator), I have a really great collection of movies and Tv Series and I would honor to help you. I work with Windows and Mac systems. Thank you very much Carlo |

RE: MY LIL MOVIE JUKEBOX rev 6 enhanced TV Series/Boxsets
Hi Legion455 and All. This program looks fantastic! I've just recently got myself a popcorn hour media device and am looking at getting MLMJ up and running. Two questions for now,
1. It seems there is no easy way to enter in my library of movies to the jukebox other than manually typing them in Movie Collector, is this correct? I was kind of thinking maybe it's possible to get another program to create a database and then have Movie Collector import that database? But really I have no idea. 2. I posted this question in another thread but I might as well repeat in the official thread. I have a few movies that are split into two parts and I'm not to sure how to create the links in Movie Collector. Currently I have it setup so that there are two separate buttons for part1 and part2 of a movie. I'd like to have it so that there is one button that will play both movie files sequentially, like a playlist. Is this possible? Thanks. (and Happy New Year!) |

@crispy
Step 1: Download this program http://rapidshare.com/files/125077330/Pl...tor1.2.rar Step 2: Make a playlist (jsp file) of your multi-part movies. Step 3: Add the jsp file in the links section just as you would a normal movie file. |

RE: MY LIL MOVIE JUKEBOX rev 6 enhanced TV Series/Boxsets
Hi first great job on this software thank you.
I seem to be having a problem following the well detailed instruction you gave to make a boxset set or to even change the genre such as the james bond or clint to use for a boxset I have the Sopranos. What I have been trying to do is to get it to show up in the the main menu changed from lets say from bond to Tv but no mater what I do it does not show up in the main index I followed Appendix 3 to the T with no results is there some thing I might have diabled. My goal is to set up the Sopranos as you have in Appendix 7 Method 2. Thanks lou |

RE: MY LIL MOVIE JUKEBOX rev 6 enhanced TV Series/Boxsets
Hi All,
In my first post, I'd like to express that I'm a big fan of the PCH A110. Nice piece of work. I'm also a big fan of My Lil Movie Jukebox. I installed rev 5 and was very pleased with the results. Thanks for all your good work, Allen! MLMJ is clearly a labor of love. After dl'ing rev 6, I ran the setup application, I then ran the import application and did a full import, taking defaults for everything and setting up the mapping for NMT to PC file locations. Perform BoxSet Export=NO. Perform Series Export = NO. Everything was ok, except most of my detail pages for collections (tv series and box sets) were generated in the new format, the problem being that I hadn't done anything to intentionally request that. What I was expecting was what is described as Method 1 in "Appendix 7: Revision 6 Changes" of the MLMJ web page. Instead of getting play buttons on the right side of the description page for each linked disc, I now get the following, which are not functional, just below the description text: Ep# Description Date Time N/A Play Disc01 1 The Godfather: N/A Play Disc02 2 Godfather II Part 1: N/A Play Disc03 3 Godfather II Part 2: N/A Play Disc04 4 Godfather III: Oddly, I do have one multi-disc entry that is still correctly built with the play buttons, which are functional, aligned on the right, as in rev 5 pages. Here's the standard Q/A: 1. Your PC's operating system: Windows XP 2. Wired or Wireless connection to your PCH Wired 3. MOdel number of PCH? A110 4. What firmware revision?? when did you last update your PCH? 01-17-081023-15-POP-403 updated prior to installing MLMJ rev 5 which was fine. 5. WHat hard drive is installed, .. and how is it installed? 1TB WD Caviar Greenpower SATA II installed internally. 6. NAS installed? Model? NFS server running? N/A 7. Before attempting to use "My Lil Movie Jukebox" software (and Movie Collector)are you able to browse manually with your remote and play all of your movies? Yes. And even more importantly, MLMJ rev 5 was working just fine. I'll add that I'm using Movie Collector 6.0 Build 3 Pro Edition. Anybody have any idea what is triggering Rev 6 to try to create details pages for collections in the new format? How can I force Rev 6 to create the detail pages in the Rev 5 (or "Method 1") format? Thanks. Cheers, Patrick _________________________________________ PCH A110 w 1TB WD Caviar Greenpower SATA II |

1. Fixed a bug with QUICK EXPORT Export_123108.exe file 2. Hi Allen, Exactly the problem, thanks! Note that it is important to remove (as you point out but emphasis for others) any episode information brought in by Movie Collector. I also found that I did not have to completely delete and re-add the movie. Removing the discs from the "Episodes & Features" tab of the "Edit Movie" dialog in Movie Collector, and then removing the episode entries from the remaining disc 1, did the trick. Might save somebody else a little effort. While the new capability to detail each episode is cool and I'll use it for some collections (e.g, The Godfather), I actually liked having the rev 5 style where the play buttons were on the right and the episode or disc info for each disc was listed below for reference. It required far less work on my behalf, and all of it within Movie Collector. Perfect for situations where the tv series or box set is going to be removed after viewing (e.g., Dexter). Would it be possible to implement a fall back strategy to rev 5 style when no Series or BoxSet exports are made for a collection yet there is episode information for it? That'd be the best of both worlds. Thanks. Cheers, Patrick _________________________________________ PCH A110 w 1TB WD Caviar Greenpower SATA II |
