Streaming WMV protocol (RTL gemist)

Hey Folks!

I've found a way to rip RTLGemist.
The only thing is that the PCH C200 has problems streaming some MMS streams. And RTLGemist uses this kind of streams... Angry
Together with Werner from Syabas we're still working on a solution for this.
Hopefully it will be fixed with an firmware update soon... Big Grin

I am able to rip RTLGemist (and other sites) on my home-server with a few programs and upload the results to the DB of my website.
It's updated every 30 minutes.
This setup is not 100% foolproof, but I'll try to keep it up-to-date as possible.
Don't scream for the ugly layout, it will be better soon.

Maslov, I can tell you that your A-100 will never support the streaming MMS protocol that is used in websites like RTLGemist, etc.
The Sigma-chips (hardware) in your PCH don't support this protocol.
This cannot be solved by a firmware (software) update...
This is also for other A-series of the PCH.

So I have to live with that and have to download the RTL-programs first to see them on my (one of the first!) A-100 which is nevertheless a great device!

For now, I cannot continue my RTL Gemist service on mediatv.netai.net.
They (000Webhost.com) disabled this website, and my system hangs to often while extracting the info from RTLGemist.
Until Syabas fixed the problem with playing WMV9 files over MMS, then I'll see if I can continue this service.

Not completely true, it can be solved by a firware update, but that would mean that Syabas has to use a newer SDK from Sigma.
Look at Tvix, it has the same chipset and supports MMS streaming.
