A-110 and WN-100..New User, Help!
I was under the impression that an internal hard drive wasn't necessary for the Popcorn Hour. I really just wanted to stream my HD content to the a110 using wireless-n.
first I downloaded the NMT ihome software: 1. Wireless-N: Using the WN-100, I am attempting to connect to my network at home. I use a D-Link Wireless-N Extreme DIR-825. I can see the MAC address in my router for the PCH-A110. I then "reserved" the IP for it (essentially giving it a static IP) and during setup I opted w/ wireless manual IP > configured correctly...Then went into wifi settings and scanned for my SSID and entered my network key in. only I time out during network browse, and still cannot even access those web channels. so I am stumped. Please help. |

I am having the same problem. I am using the DIR855 router and I can also see the SSID when scanning but I don´t get an IP address for the PCH.
Have you tried connecting with wire? When I do it works fine so it is only in wireless mode it doesn´t work for me. |

I have found the WN-100 and its driver to be incredibly fussy about what settings are used. I spent ages trying to get mine working, and eventually got it working by disabling all security settings on my router (a Draytek Vigor 2910), which is obviously not ideal. After messing around with the settings some more, I found only one of the available security settings on the WN-100 was compatible with my router; WPA AES + TKIP. I would suggest that you first try getting your setup to work by disabling the security settings on your router. Once you are sure that your WN-100 works with your router, you will then need play around with the security settings on your router and the WN-100, until you find a combination that works. It's not ideal, and is probably far more complicated than it should be, but it did eventually work for me... |

I had also problems until I discovered that the PCH didnt like any special characters in the WPA2 key. I removed an underscore and it worked. Do a search in the forum and you will find a lot of problems with WIFI. I wait for the next firmware and stick for 10 meter cable meanwhile.
