[SUBTITLE] Slow subtitle speed

Guys,

I'm new to this, so hopefully you have a sollution to my very annoying experience. I was just watching a movie and not only were the subtitles not fully synched (which I corrected with adjusting the time), but also the speed was not correct, i.e. every half a minute I had to adjust the subtitle slightly, because it was out of sync again.
Has anyone experienced this and if so, is there a sollution to this?

The file I was playing was a MKV file and the subtitle a SRT file.

Play the movie with the srt on a computer. I'm guessing it will be off there too

What tisti is saying is you basically have the wrong *.srt subtitle for your *.mkv movie. For instance, your *.srt might be for a PAL (24 fps) version of the movie and you may have a NTSC (23.976 or 29.970 fps) version of the movie. There are programs that can redo the timing for you (resync) or you can try to locate subs with the correct timing already.
