Hard reset by remote?
I am using my PCH to access Hulu through PlayOn. Obviously, this setup is working but not 100%. Since it requires me to pull the plug after almost every use, I was wondering if there was a way to do a hard reset with the remote. Tivos have this ability in their menu structure, but I haven't seen anything in the PCH. I just hate having to fish my arm through the cabinet and wires to unplug and replug the power.

Just wondering. Thanks.

The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box...

RE: Hard reset by remote?
Yes, that's how you turn it off, but how do you turn it back on when the power button by itself doesn't do anything?

RE: Hard reset by remote?
Willem described a soft reboot (also known as a "Power Cycle") - using this method the player is first turned off and then turned on again.

You seem to be asking about something else.

The basic procedure to turn on the A-100 after a shutdown sequence (Press Power, release it, wait 2 seconds, press Delete) is to remove the power plug from the power outlet it is connected to, and then re-insert it again.

To make things simpler, you can connect the power cord to a power strip that has an on/off button and use the on/off button to turn on the player instead of pulling and re-inserting the plug - or even simpler, buy yourself a remote controlled power adapter (there are both IR and RF models available).
