Hard reset by remote?
I am using my PCH to access Hulu through PlayOn. Obviously, this setup is working but not 100%. Since it requires me to pull the plug after almost every use, I was wondering if there was a way to do a hard reset with the remote. Tivos have this ability in their menu structure, but I haven't seen anything in the PCH. I just hate having to fish my arm through the cabinet and wires to unplug and replug the power.
Just wondering. Thanks. |

RE: Hard reset by remote?
Yes, that's how you turn it off, but how do you turn it back on when the power button by itself doesn't do anything?

RE: Hard reset by remote?
Willem described a soft reboot (also known as a "Power Cycle") - using this method the player is first turned off and then turned on again.
You seem to be asking about something else. The basic procedure to turn on the A-100 after a shutdown sequence (Press Power, release it, wait 2 seconds, press Delete) is to remove the power plug from the power outlet it is connected to, and then re-insert it again. To make things simpler, you can connect the power cord to a power strip that has an on/off button and use the on/off button to turn on the player instead of pulling and re-inserting the plug - or even simpler, buy yourself a remote controlled power adapter (there are both IR and RF models available).
