displaying file without extension

i just added a hdd to my pch and started playing around with the theme, can i display the filenames without the file extension ? i only know how to do this with the index.htm. do i need to change something on the .config file ?

PC1 [1.4Tb Share] + WRT160N [Wireless Bridge] WRT160N + PCH-A100 [2Gb CF] + LG 37LC51 [HDMI]
