New firmware (21 Jan 2009): "no resume" tag???
Hi all,
with latest firmware (from 21 Jan 2009) my application completely goes mad. It's a front-end for IP-TV and all media stream links are created on demand of course. It seems the PCH tries to resume stopped streams instead of loading new ones. So the question is - how to say to PCH not to use it's Bookmark Feature for my VOD links? I need just a plain stupid functionality as before. Without extra caching, positioning, seeking or whatever. E.g. Code: <a href="http://mylink.mp4" vod noresume>My video</a> Thanks in advance! |

Is your app creating a "fake" file size for the file or providing the appropriate Syabas http responses? I had this concern with GBPVR live tv too, but it seems that mono is aware when the file is growing and it doesn't save the bookmark.

Thank you for your response Martin!

The broadcasting server gives out a simple stream, which length cannot be predicted if I'm trying to save it with any downloading tool, e.g Firefox or wget. And of course there is no special handling for Syabas since the IP-TV provider has probably no idea that it exists. Maybe it's something completely different, but I never saw such effect with any other firmware. And the downgrade instantly solved the problem. Could you please tell me how can I check whether a bookmark is created/updated or not? Is there a special file somewhere written? |

/tmp/mono_bookmark
You could scripting removing it if you want, I have that in my startup. Martin |
