Dynamic Media Jukebox 0.021 Released

I apologize to all as it seems like I have abandon this project. I can assure you I have not. I have been finishing up a masters degree and the tail end of it is kicking my ass. Once I finish up in the late winter/early spring I will be back to working on DMJ with renewed effort.

0.021 is currently on CSI. Stand alone package with readme and change log updates to follow

NOTE: IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU INSTALL lighttpd FROM THE CSI FOR FUTURE FULL FUNCTIONALITY WILL REQUIRE THIS

For Upgrading See readme.txt
You will need to save you old config.php first if you do not want it over written.

For CSI

Just use the install method and the browse to Apps/DMJ and select index.htm

For Standalone

When installing, AFTER you move all the files to the PCH rename index.cgi.RENAME_ME_TO_JUST_cgi.bin to index.cgi. FTP can corrupt the other .cgi files so if you intend to ftp rename them to .bin first and the back to .cgi after they are on the PCH

Here is another Jukebox for the PCH. This is a jukebox that resides on the PCH and requires no PC intervention after initial setup.

I would like to that Big Larry for his BLMJ as that was the inspiration for this. I would also like to thank the YAMJ guys because looking through their HTML helped me tons. I also used some of their images/layout.

Right now I have this running on the A100 at 1080p so that all I can say it supports. It has been reported to run on many other configurations.

It has also been confirmed to run on the HDX-1000

Quick overview of changes: 0.021

* Preliminary TV Show functionality (HD mode. SD mode still needs a little work)
* Start of SD mode support -Thanks the Squeek and AlramEast
* More SD/HD separation fixes
* Fixed when renaming a movie the bigimages folder gets renames as well (but not the jpg currently)
* Added DMJ to Community Software Installer (http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...tid=13161)
* Fixed truncation with certain characters (i.e apostrophes) unsure about full support for non English character sets (the ones I have tested work)
* Added HOME button functionality for more menus.
* Source is now available via SVN on Google code as well
* Some install location dependence has been removed
* Fixed recently broken IMDB poster pull
* Fixed save and retrieve new info for special characters (from RC1)
* Director IMDB Scrape Fix (Thanks Ice Tiger)

Forgot to mention, TV shows are recognized by Show_name_blahSxxEyy.ext where xx is the season number and yy is the episode number. xx and yy can be as many number long as necessary, and multiple episodes in a file can be strung together like SxxEyySxxEyySxxEyy etc.

Please understand that not all things work perfectly and the code is kinda ugly.

If you have problems setting it up after using the readme I usually check the boards once every day or two and will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Key to getting user attention: Screenshots!

Sounds good, but I couldn't install it. I can view the main menu but all three links are broken, and there's no "Create database" link either.

I apologize the links in index HTML point the the wrong location.

If you change
http://127.0.0.1:8088/stream/file=/opt/s.../Video/MJ/
to

http://127.0.0.1:8088/stream/file=/opt/s...Video/DMJ/

in index.html for all three links (or whereever you chose to install it) it should work. I will update the Rar file.

In the it should be "Setup Databases" not "Create Databases" Sorry

This is one of the first apps i will be testing on my pch if i receive it today.
It would be nice if you could make some screenshots.

maybe you could make a youtube vid?

Did anybody test it? is it working properly now with the 2nd release.

I wish I knew. Most screenshots I've seen are from a tripodded/fixed camera.

Nifty little Jukebox. I really like the concept to not use the pc at all. It didn't get as much covers as Yamj but that could be done with manual settings. However, have you planned anything to handle parts, like 2 files of 1 movie? Now I'm getting 2 covers for 1 movie.

I also would like to set the number of covers displayed, now they look a little bit to small for me.

The movie name should be displayed when high lighten a cover.

Please put your pictures up on a free image hosting site so that you can provide a thumbnail here
in the forum and clicking it will show us the full image. Many like myself are not going to download an image,
which is what happens now when you click on your links.

Also, it is standard practice to re-edit your first post to include all relevant details in there... such as the images.
All current version info should also be in the first post so that users don't have to read every post to see what's new.

Im gonna try this one tonight, Ive had a little attempt with YAMJ and the other, but gave up at the pc stage ......

Im getting movies down via totrrents and grabit newsgroups, and my wife is always asking whats this film about etc,

This looks simple so here goes
