RE: OVERSIGHT no-faffing about "Jukebox" V2 now with dvd cover view (20090506-1BETA)
The new dvd-cover view is really a feature a lot of people have been waiting for i think.
The thing i like most about oversight and your other projets, is how easy you can edit the code for making your own tweaks.. And yet still you keep making is even easyer for the people to configure the already very cool app.. Keep going the way you are going now lordy, it is a road a lot of people will folow you into. RE: OVERSIGHT no-faffing about "Jukebox" V2 now with dvd cover view (20090506-1BETA)
New version is great.
I am using a 50" HD tv at 720p. Default settings of poster mode 720p is working just fine with my TV. I have one comment about posters that are being created; they are not very accurate. For example for the title "Star.Wars.Episode.IV.A.New.Hope.1977" , it brought a cover of "star wars trilogy" I was using Movie Jukebox before and it brought the correct covers for all the movies. Can we change the source for posters ? |

RE: OVERSIGHT no-faffing about "Jukebox" V2 now with dvd cover view (20090506-1BETA)
Hi mrmrmrmr
>> For example for the title "Star.Wars.Episode.IV.A.New.Hope.1977" , it brought a cover of "star wars trilogy" Can you PM me your exact file name. I'll do a scan here to see where it tripped up. >> I have one comment about posters that are being created; they are not very accurate. I know it can get them badly wrong if it makes a mistake, and these are the ones that get peoples attention. But what about the percentage that are correct, are you finding this low. If so there is a really bad problem and could you email me your full log files (in /share/Apps/oversight/logs). It currently is best at searching obscure scene names or very simple names where I see a hit rate much better than 95% I guess. It can have trouble with remakes and 'trilogies' etc. It may struggle with certain names set by the user, esp if the film has commonly used aliases. >> Can we change the source for posters ? Poster source is not changeable yet. I was planning on using thetvdb and themoviedb.org eventually. Unless people have other preferences. (English language for now, as all the searching/scraping is based on that) You can get the correct poster for the film by editing the nfo - but that goes against the no-faffing about ideal - so I better look into it! @sproglet, The one where you replied >>Deleted the beta and put back my backup of the full release. >> File is put in correct folder and correctly named on screen. Or another one

RE: OVERSIGHT no-faffing about "Jukebox" V2 now with dvd cover view (20090506-1BETA)
@mrmrmrmr
Probably a little confusion due to imdb's "posters" Both the Star Wars and the SuperMan Returns were detected correctly, just the IMDB default poster is not always very good. Once I change some other things in my list (navigation and TVID usage), I will revisit the poster view and use better images from thetvdb or themoviedb.org. But for now it uses the default imdb "poster" (05-06-2009 10:21 PM)Sproglet Wrote: Yeah the one before I resorted to going back to the full release to fix the name issue. Ah for some reason I read your PM thinking you had fixed in by re-installing the beta! The problem is epguides simpsons link is http://us.imdb.com/title/tt96697 But the url is really http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0096697 And oversight was being too strict about the IMDB ID format. tt followed by 6 or more numbers. I'll change it to "/tt" followed by any numbers. Since I just realised http://us.imdb.com/title/tt1 is valid. I'll put this in the next beta. hopefully tonight. [edit] I chickened out and made it tt with 5 numbers. this should give anything made after http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0010000/ I wanted to avoid false matches against other html content that might have "class=tt3" etc. Oversight: Jukebox | FeedTime: Automatic nzbs |

RE: OVERSIGHT no-faffing about "Jukebox" V2 now with dvd cover view (20090507-1BETA)
Hmm..
i have been trying to tweak oversights dvd-cover view to show the name of the selected show as Text @ the bottom. But since my Javascript skills are pretty limited and above that you have the PCH working with all the functions, i give up and request it over here.. So the what i would like Oversights dvd view to have is; when you have a picture selected, there is a text in the bottom.. this is handy for TV shows with multiple seasons, wich are still shown as a picture for every season. and it gives you extra feedback about what you are going to select. The code changes i made are based on code snippets from YAMJ skins, it works on on my computer screen.. but the moment i test it on the tv i start yelling because it doesnt do what i want.. Code: # Before </head> around line 490 of oversight.cgiedit some < and > not showing correctly, you'll understand ![]() i don't know if you are anything with the code since it doesn't work on the nmt's browser.. hopefully you can help me My PCH-A110 Stats | Samsung LE32A656 | Logitech Z-2300 | Harmony One Oversight | |

Moved the affected folder out to a temp folder and re-catalogued/named Folder looks ok, it has a "039" instead of a ' but that's not a big deal I'll try breaking it again and see what arises ![]() Just checked the generated log and at the end it shows: Code: [DEBUG] 19 : processed in 14s | processed 1 items in 14s av time per item 14sIs this a problem? Call line was Code: catalog.sh RENAME_TV 1Ahhh. ok. The failure is when it trys to rebuild the DB. I don't want to loose the order stuff has been added so don't want to delete the old .db and .db.idx Any ideas? |

RE: OVERSIGHT no-faffing about "Jukebox" V2 now with dvd cover view (20090507-1BETA)
Traced it to folder names with a ' in them.
Your new "deleted" detection throws it's toys out of the pram at them ![]() Fixed by going back to V1, renaming the folders and rescanning them with V1. Then moving the new db/db.idx files to new version. It works perfectly now
