PCH A-110 ALERT removing HARDdisk when connecting PC via USB
Strange ...

I connect my PCH A_110 to my PC via an USB Host cable
Immediatelly i go the following message

ALERT!!
Removing Hard disk /CD-Rom from nmt

few second after, main menu displayed without HARD Disk
Ethernet network works fine.
I can't see MNT from the PC via USB

I disconnect the USB cable and all return after few seconds.

Do you have an explanation ?

RE: PCH A-110 ALERT removing HARDdisk when connecting PC via USB
thats what is meant to happen, its becuase although still in the PCH the hard drive is by-passing the PCH so in essence the NMT treats it as if it is being taken out of the PCH and connecting to the PC

I'd like to add that the NTM is trying to unsuccessfully disconnecting itself from hdd and usb. Likely because you have telnetd running.

In order to see the PCH HDD on your PC you have to have IFS Driver installed to read the ext3 formatting.

There is a guide around here some place that runs you through a step by step process.

RE: PCH A-110 ALERT removing HARDdisk when connecting PC via USB
Have you recently been adding and removing other USB devices? Sometimes you can get hangup's when your computer tires to assigning drive letters, I would go into your IFS Drives on your control panel and try changing your drive letter. Another thing to try, if you have not done this yet is simply reboot your computer, that also helps sometimes.

I have similar problems with USB flash drives and mapped drives at my work.
