A110 - Panasonic Viera
Hello everyone,
Best start with introducing myself. I have been a lurker for some time now and never really needed to reg as i haven't had any problems with my PCH. I have an A110 with a 750gig internal. Works like a dream and im really pleases with it. My problem is that i have just bought a Panasonic Viera 42PZ80 Plasma Tv. Again a lovely bit of kit. The Tv won't recognise the PCH on HDMI 1 or 2 (Hdmi's 1&2 on the rear, 3 under the front flap). If it is plugged in on HDMI 3 it works as it should right through the resolution spectrum. The only way i can get it to work on the rear HDMI inputs is to change the output on the PCH from HDMI to Component whilst using the HDMI cable. The only problem with this is no sound. Anybody help? Is this a Viera Link, CEC problem??? It's driving me round the twist. I have tried several cables and even had the TV swapped to rule the tv out. Tried Viera Link on and off still no luck. RE: A110 - Panasonic Viera
That is odd.
I've got an X10, I did have a little problem with HDMI handshake, when coming out of standby the screen was stretched massivly or would just be blank, by changing the PCH output resolution or saving the current settings again it forced another HDMI handshake and everything was fine until next time I went into and came out of standby. In the end it simply fixed itself after simply power cycling the PCH. Mine is fine on both HDMI 1 and 3 (not tried 2). I think I have link turned off... |

RE: A110 - Panasonic Viera
I see what your saying.
It does occasionally show the Blue front screen but won't play when a film is selected and won't even pass through the audio. I know the PCH is working as its optical to an amp kit. Surely i can't be the only one and having 2 televisions with the same problem can not be a high coincidence Paul |

RE: A110 - Panasonic Viera
I've also got my PCH connected to a 42PZ80, but haven't experienced any problems like yours. Mine's just connected to HDMI 1 on the TV, plus optical out to my surround sound system.
What have you got the default video output set to in your preferences? I know that before the latest firmware update, having it set to 'AUTO' caused problems for some users. My video preferences are set to output 1080p 50Hz with framerate sync set to NTSC/PAL/24p and this works great with my setup. Dave. |

For audio issues, have you ensured that the various audio settings are set to "analogue", in particular for DTS handling...? |

RE: A110 - Panasonic Viera
I have a Viera 32" LCD. Mostly, it works beautifully... but as aforementioned, I get occasional handshake issues when taking the machine out of standby. But rarely - maybe six or seven times in total, and I've owned an A-110 since New Year.
