[A-110 & A-100] Don't play 1080p mkvs after a while (reboot needed)

[A-110 & A-100] Don't play 1080p mkvs after a while (reboot needed)
After last firmware update my PCH A-110 need a total shutdown every time i want to play a 1080p movie (mkv container).

After the new boot up all the movies play fine. But after some time (next use, may be a few days) it doesn't want to play 1080p. When I try to play I Just get a black screen then return to previous page. It get solved after a reboot, but then I must reboot the box every time I want to play a movie.

A friend of mine has the same issue with a A-100 after the last firmware update. So may be there is something that is not working well in the last firmware that makes the 1080p movie play imposible after some time.

How can I check the CPU o memory aviability on the A-110?

Any ideas?

Thank you.

I write a long post about this in this topic, but no one commented:

I think you can check the CPU and memory aviability by installing Telnet, and using the 'top' command.

Media player 01: PCH-A100, 160 GB 2,5" WD HDD, Composite, CAT5 wired.
Media player 02: PCH-C200, 320 GB 2,5" Samsung HDD, LG CH10-LS20 BD, HDMI, CAT5e wired.
Display: Samsung LE-40R88BD
A/V receiver: Yamaha RXV-630 coax conn.
NAS: Synology CS407e, DS411j 8 TB (RAID5)

After reading your post I found that we have same problem.

could anyone point out a solution, please?

I will try to run top command from a script launched by .html ¿? I don't have telnet installed.

Thank you Mar_tin

I have set up a .html file to run a top command for checking memory and processes. Today my A-110 still play 1080p files since last reboot. As soon as the box refuse to play 1080ps again I will run the top command before and after the reboot. I will post here the results.

Any help will be most apreciated.

Thank you.

RE: [A-110 & A-100] Don't play 1080p after a while (new firmware)
Same problem. PCH 110, latest firmware. After reboot, everything plays fine, but after some time MKVs stops playing. I've noticed that usually it happens after some time (even some days) if I don't play MKVs, OR very quickly after playing several MKVs (even briefly). So I have to stop all torrents from PC, reboot and then start them again. Ugh! Angry However, I don't remember such problems whith any other file (including TS), so this must be some MKV-specific bug.

RE: [A-110 & A-100] Don't play 1080p after a while (new firmware)
i have found if i play a mkv and stop it at the credits i cant play another 1080p flick. But if i let it roll through the credits to the end of the flick the next works just fine. Some how im thinking its keeping the movie in cache incase you use bookmark and there isnt enough space left to play another movie.

Me too I have the same problem, I can't play 1080p movies in mkv format. I think this is a big issue and I hope that somebody from the MNT team is already looking for a solution. It's really annoying and I must say I'm a little bit dissapointed with the new firmware.

Just want to add that I too get the same issue, and it does not look like a cache related issue. Because it doesn't play the 1080p after clearing the cache. other 720p movies are playing fine.

RE: [A-110 & A-100] Don't play 1080p after a while (new firmware)
I installed the new bugfix fw. yesterday cleared the chache then watched one 720p and one SD TV show episode and I lost the 1080p playback again. So the new firmware dosen't fixed this issue.
