I've been trying to implement the long touch events too, but that proves difficult since android 2.2 still doesn't support the full touch events that we need. Something that's bobbling in my head is a special button appended to each list item to bring up the dialog, or maybe a toggle switch to make the default click events turn into touchmove events.
