I ran into another bug this week: whenever I FW a mpeg2 file, and then press Play, it played from 30s to 60s back instead of where I am looking at the screen or more advanced. I hope you know what I mean.

Well, so, all the attention is placed on the new product, according to the support here. When can we expect the next FW upgrade (6months)?

Hi all,

an little info normally I planned to release an new firmware on friday 22.5.2009, but because my engineer told me that he found out an workaround for the DTS dropout issue we decided to hold the bugfix release back, Fridays dts firmware still had some dropouts not many anymore but they where still here, today i get an new firmware and there i had no dropout anymore, its hard now after such an short test (around 10 samples where i had dropouts on last final) and 3 full length movies, but it seems that it is working.
Sorry for the delay but i think its better to get that fix in before we release.

How about SONY/PHILIPS amplifiers problems? Did You manage to make it play DD5.1 passthrough from PCH?

Is there any update on how to fix VIDEO_TS playback?

I have two A-100's. Both were on latest firmware, HDMI video. One of them is able to play dvd images and the other one isn't. Note: This is the same dvd image so it can't be dvd image corruption.

The only difference between the two is the video output is set to 720p 60Hz on the one that works and 1080p 60Hz on the one that doesn't. I have tried reverting back to previous versions, factory reset - no luck. Even firmwares that I knew worked before are not working on this one unit. mkv, avi playback are all fine. I use NFS sharing but I tried copying locally on to the HD on the unit and USB external drive. Both options did not play. I get audio but no video. My tv says "mode not supported" which seems to indicate some kind of HDMI issue. I am at my wits end to think of new things to try to get this to work again. Any tips that I can try? Thanks in advance.

Hmm - I thought that firmware updates were ALWAYS released on the A-100 first?? Are all updates going to be released on the A-110 first going forward?

By the way, were the DTS-dropout issues only on the A-110? I must say that I've never had a problem on the A-100...

nope, dts dropouts were on both machines ...

yes you are right and normaly it is that way, and after that release on next release it will be again that way , this time it was more because we started to patch the bigger then 1TB formatting issue on A-110 to fix, that firmware was ready two weeks ago, but then one of our engineer gaves us the info that he found out how to fix the dts drop out issue on bad encoded mkv's, so we decide that we dont wanna release the firmware, and yesterday we released the A-110 firmware today and A-100 firmware will come soon.

Cool, hopefully we'll get it soon and it'll fix all the problem i've got, dumb spinning hd issue.

I'm really surprised by this request as you are a beta tester

One of the forum rules is that beta firmware discussions etc. are kept to the beta section.

The only beta firmware notification on the none beta section of the forum is the beta firmware changelog thread.
