User manual for PCH-A100 / NMT in general

Hi all,

I just got myself a PCH-A100 player. I am going to use this together with my Synology Diskstation DS207+ (http://www.synology.com/enu/products/DS207+/index.php) to watch videos, listen to music and to browse our family photo album.
I've got some of it set up, but I've got a ton of questions, so I am wondering if there is any kind of getting-started manual out there? The A100 didn't come with any (just a quick guide, which wasn't much help).

I have the same setup as you Michael.

I've found...

1) The pair are excellent when using SMB shares on a wired connection.

2) The UPnP Media Server included by Synology is awfully restricted and therefore dumb.

3) Using TwonkyVision MediaServer on the Synology for UPnP is much better. But there's a bug in the PCH UPnP handling when moving between layers several layers deep which makes it a bit frustrating.

How are you getting on?

You can install llink on the Synology to serve the NMT via http. llink has quite a few v.useful features including a jukebox etc:-
