Some program is either not creating the above file, or is deleting it before I can process it further. Either the conversion step failed without noticing me, or the file disappeared afterwards. My only suggestion is to try fiddling around with the settings - especially the temporary directory location - to see if that solves it. Since it is a problem I have never seen myself, I cannot fix it... (04-08-2012 06:20 PM)Clark Kent Wrote: Sorry! I didn't thought of that! RE: PopCorn MKV AudioConverter
Hi, i'm sorry if this question have been asked before but it's not easy to read 103 pages to find an answer to a single problem.
I followed the tutorial, I read the FAQ but still no reason why it's not working. Problem: - problem: unable to execute Mkvinfo - program: C:/program files/MKVtoolnix/mkvinfo.exe - command line: C:/friends-le.roi.lion.truefrench-720p.mkb--ui-language en >C:/users/abs/desktop/audioconverter/20120412/MKVINFO-HIBRTAVAX.out - error level 2 then I click on Ignore and "video track not found" Windows vista ... If there is answer... I'll be glad to read it !!! thanks and sorry if this question have already been posted |

RE: PopCorn MKV AudioConverter
Error code 2 normally means "File not found", and is in this case returned by MkvInfo.
However, the text you have supplied is not correctly transcribed. The text shown uses "\" and not "/". Secondly, the file is most likely called .mkv and not .mkb (if it truly is called .mkb then that's the problem). Please try again, and this time, when the error comes up, please click on the text (as described in the lower part of the error window) to copy the text to clipboard and then copy it into a new message so that we can see the correct text. If the error is as you list with the changes I expect, then I am at a loss to explain what happens. The error occurs in an external utility over which I have no control. Keld R. I just had my first MKV file needing audio conversion from DTS to AC3 and v1.87 worked beautifully. Previously, I had to remux the MKV or just set MetaFox loose on it to fix the header compression issue. Thanks a million for sorting this - and so quickly!!! A couple of other minor suggestions I have would be... 1. Allow the main window to be resized smaller than it currently allows. Today, it can't be resized horizontally, but can be stretched vertically, but can't be reduced below 960 pixels. Given the output text box at the bottom of the window scrolls, do we need the 960 pixels minimum height restriction? Re the inability to change the window width, I can understand there needs to be a limit due to the UI layout, but the filename input fields could lose up to maybe half their current width without causing any usability issues. 2. I've only just discovered I can drag and drop the input MKV file into the Source File textbox - awesome time saver! It would be wonderful if I could drag the output folder into the Target File text box with the UI automatically appending the filename from the source directory box, if no filename is already present (that would support creating a dummy MKV file and dragging it into the box, or just dragging the output folder). Today, If I drag the output folder into the target file box, the UI switches from Single File to Directory mode. I can understand that if I drop a folder onto the Source File input box, but changing mode because I've told the UI where to write the new MKV file created from the MKV file I previously dropped onto the source file box feels odd. 3. Why is it only the TrueHD tab has a "use bitrate from DTS tab" when encoding to AC3, whilst the VORBIS, AAC and FLAC tabs don't have a "use bitrate from DTS tab" option, but require the bitrate setting manually? 4. Your tools bundle download contains eac3to v3.15, which doesn't support TrueHD. The current version v3.24 does. Maybe your tools bundle download could be updated? Thanks again for the DTS header compression fix. Makes processing files so much simpler! Lee |

RE: PopCorn MKV AudioConverter
It seems like the problem is that MkvInfo isn't installed in the listed directory.
What is the contents of your Audio Utilities 1 tab? Where have you specified MkvInfo to be? Keld R. Hansen PopCorn MKV AudioConverter: Tutorial FAQ YAMJ Poster Maker |

RE: PopCorn MKV AudioConverter
I have been using your wonderful utility for a few months and was wondering if I am the only person with the following issue..
I make sure that Preserve DTS track is marked and I would like to check Set DTS track as default track but it is not selectable. Is there anything on my end I could try to make this work? |

Why are you trying to convert an audio track of type A_AC3 (Dolby Digital)? It can already be played back on your playback device (if not, you need to upgrade your playback device, or there is something very wrong with the file itself). And - next time, please read the FAQ before asking questions that has been addressed there.
