myihome on NMT. somewhat confused
okay, so i started the MyIhome server on the NMT. and access it through
a web browser. the problem is that when i access the video folder and then the induvidual video. it says.. and i quote:" There is no file found in this folder." which is utter bollocks. Theres iso, img, mkv, avi files all over the place, but none of these gets listed. why does the myihome THINK that i dont want to see these files ? one thing is that the server cannot support propper viewing of these files, but it has no business saying that the folder is empty. At the very least it should show the folder content, and if i tried to execute a file, THEN it can give me an error message. or have i completly missed the point of myihome server on the NMT ? nappy |

RE: myihome on NMT. somewhat confused
The myihome server you are talking about is part of the NMT Apps and is to serve/stream content to another NMT via http protocol.
iso, img files are not visible in myihome in any case as http does not work well with image files, which are playlists to some extent. RE: myihome on NMT. somewhat confused
All well and good, but i still claim that the application has no business saying that
a directory is empty when it is not. a more propper way would be to list the directory content, but deliver an error message if one tries to execute a file not supported by the application (which IS the norm). nappy (05-08-2009 06:24 AM)chris57 Wrote: The myihome server you are talking about is part of the NMT Apps and is to serve/stream content to another NMT via http protocol. |
