[PPP]

Hi, inspired by mcmillyonaires marvellous revamp mokups i wanted to pimp the movie detail page for ppp2 a bit. But than the changes were so huge and i liked the new look so much, that i redid the whole skin and called the new one (big surprise and very creative) ppp3. As before i did only minor changes to the index page (this will come at next).

I added some new features:

• Skin uses tabs to show more infos
• Animation for show/hide poster
• Full plot - now the plot isn't cut off anymore. The skin takes the whole plot out of the xml file and displays it in parts. You can scoll the pages with "Page Down/Up" or "down/up" (if play or plot tab is focused)
• Also full plot for tv show episodes (scroll down/up only works with button "Page Down/Up"
• Episode navigation should be pretty fast, e.g. hit down on the last episode sets the focus to the first, hit left on a episode 1-5 sets the focus to 15-20, ...
• scroll up/down through the episode list pages (if more than 20 episodes) - scroll up on the first page jumps to the last page and scroll down on the last page jumps to the first page
• As ppp2 this skin should be capable for 100+ episodes
  

Usage:
detail page general:
- Red shows the plot tab
- Green shows the info tab
- Blue hides/shows all
- MENU shows/hides the poster
- Left/Right scrolls through the tabs
- Enter on a tab changes the informations displayed in the box

Movie detail page:
- Yellow shows the trailer-tab
- Play plays the movie/playlist
- Down/Up scrolls the plot (if plot is visible)
- Page Down/Up loads the next/previous movie/tv-show

TV detail page:
- INFO shows the episode plot/image
- Yellow shows the episode-tab
- Page Down/up - if plot tab is active it scrolls the plot, if episode plot is active it scrolls the episode plot and if the episode list is active it scrolls the episode list (only if there are more than 20 episodes).
- Down/Up scrolls the plot (if plot is visible and active)
- Play plays the selected episode
- Page Down/Up loads the next/previous movie/tv-show

Index page:
- Red shows the movie page
- Green shows the TV page
- home loads the all index page
- menu returns to you set exit page (e.g. your harddrive root page)
- Page Down/Up loads the next/previous page
- Info opens the genre menu

Some known issues

• On very bright backgrounds the title, director, actor, ... infos are not very eye friendly - there is nothing i can do against and i can live with that.
• the poster zoom in/out animation is slow on TV detail pages with more than 10 episodes - there is an option to disable this feature (tvShow.useAnimation for TV pages and movie.useAnimation for movie pages).
• long Actor names are under the icons - i prefer this behaviour than shorten the names
• the plot gets shorten after e.g. 400 chars - some plugins (e.g. the german ofdb plugin) shortens the plot by itself. There is nothing i can do against. If you use the kinopoisk or filmdelta plugin, you are lucky, cause these plugins have the option "plot.maxlength".
• the tabs are ugly - i know, i know, but my graphical skins are very low
• the episode left/right scrolling (scroll through) does not work perfect on the last episode list page.
• there is e.g. an e02 behind an episode name - thats not a bug, that is a feature. This means that this episode is just a reference to episode 02.
  

Some additional words:

• As i said, the design is inspired by mcmillyonaires revamp skin, but my graphical skills a far far away from mcmillyonaires! Indeed the graphical part took nearly as long as the script part, and cost me many grey hairs...
• I know the animation is completely senseless but its funny and i am proud that it works. I cost me much much time of testing till i discovered how animations works fast enough to talk about an animation and not about a dia show.
• I recommend that you start the jukebox from scratch. ppp3 is not compatible to ppp2, so do not try to merge them.
• I did a lot of testing, but i am pretty sure that there will be bugs - please post them here.
• Please feel free to combine the detail page with any skin or addon you want. Just help others, if they ask you how.
• Sorry for my grammar and any misspellings. My school and study time is long ago... please feel free to correct me and send me a pm.
  

Bugs:

• Poster animation does not work properly [fixed in rev. 01]
• Long genre titles does not fit correctly in the box
• VideoImage ratio is wrong
  

Requested Features:

• increase number of parts up to ten
• make the start-tab optional
• adjustable poster size [done -> rev.01]
• next/previous movie navigation [done -> rev.01]
  

Important:
Don't use this skin, if you:
- hate nifty bugs, even they are small (always keep in mind that this skin is beta)
- your YAMJ Version is less than r919 and you don't want to upgrade it
- don't like to update your skin some times

Hmm, i've found a bug with newer YAMJ versions than r918. r965 ignores my videoImage settings completely. So all viedeoImages looks stretched, cause now all videoImages are 16:9 format (400x225). Not so pretty...

1st tHX for this awesome Work . I have tHREE questions about it,
1st is the count of Genres, when there are more than 3 Genres, it goes out of line :



The 2nd is, we have to push "Menu" to bring the Plot/VideoImage onScreen, on the TV-Page. Can we have the Plot/VideoImage shown up as default, without pressing "Menu" to show them up, so that we can press "Menu" only to hidem them.

3rd is, The Animated Cover thing is a little strange, I have to press "Green", to bring up the Info-Tab, than I must press "Blue" to hide the Info-Tab, than I have to press "Info" to bring up the Animated Cover. Is there a way to press "Info" on all the Tabs, to bring up the Cover ?

I fixed the 1st Problem, with the moviejukebox.properties, I set the genre.max=2 and it looks good now .
I found another thing, can we have the Infos-Tab as default, instead of bringing up the Plot-Tab as defualt ?

Hmm, i'd never saw so long genre titles as yours. E.g. my action genre is just called "action". Than you use different imdb stars (i dont like the 10 star thing).

I'll ad an option for this. Are you really more interested in the infos as in the plot? May i ask why? Never thought about that.

Yes, you can. Just set "showPlotwithBtn" to false (ppp-options.xsl).

Hmmm, well - that's absolute not the desired behaviour. Normally the poster is shown everywhere if you push "info". I can't reproduce your described case. Everytime time i push "info" the poster is shown.

Where can I find the option for the imdb Stars thing? I never set anything to 10 Stars or something, dunno where.

Not by me, I have to press the Buttons in the above posted Order, to bring up the Cover :/.

EDIT:
In ppp2 and we can Browse the Movies in the Detail-Page, too. With Left or Right, we can Browse between the Movies. Is there a way that we can Browse between our Movies, in the Details-Page, too, in ppp3 ?

...and can you please make an option, that the Animated Covers, are a little bit smaller, so that they are not exceed the InfoBar with the Plot/Infos/Hide thing ?

Love the new look! Checking it out now.

Multi-disc movie handling seems to be limited to 5 discs right now? A good example is the Alien Quad box set, where there are 9 discs.

I can only access the first 5 right now... What about a second row of the Part1, Part2, icons so that one can access all of the discs?

Great skin ppp! Like the details! But have same problem with the cover...

Also if I do that first when I come to a details and want to see the poster, the usually activated play button is one layer over the poster. To fix that is it possible to let it "fly" in just to the corner of the menu and not over it?

Further, all my Videoimages are not shown. The episode plot is working fine when I hit DELETE in my config. In the created jukebox directory they have the resolution 400x220. Showing the images is activated in skin.properties.

Please try to build your jukebox from scratch. The stars indicates that you have overwritten your jukebox. Maybe this fix the poster problem, too.

TAB is the "menu" button. You can change it to any button (see a list here: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...entation).

Hmm, it was only a question of time till somebody miss this feature. Well, the problem is, that i use left/right up/down and page down/up. So there is no reasonable button left. Than i never used this feature, so i ripped it of. But it will be easy to implement it with some other buttons.

Have a look at an affected xml file. I assume that there is "UNKNOWN" in fileImageFile. If not its a bug.

Jap, UNKNOWN is correct. But correct images are there... But why? This effect is just in some xmls... Could it be the YAMJ Editor I'm using?

I have made a new JukeBox (I delled thge Jukebox Folder and the index.htm), I dont overwrite anything. I made a new JukeBox from Scratch, but I dont know what the 10 Stars thing is, it doenst fix
my Poster/Cover Problem, and the "10 Stars Thing", dunno where or what it is

Could you help me in teh right direction with the following: I'd like to use your skin for the detail pages (movies and series), and keep my own index pages... How would I achieve this? Thanks man
