[SKIN] PPP2-SD
I took the PPP2 rev4 and started hacking on it to create an SD version. I have it working pretty well and would like to get it out there for comments and more testing.
You can download it at http://pch.omertron.com/ppp2-sd PPP has not been involved with my changes so far. Except to answer a few questions for me. |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
Hi, cool - you finally get it to work.
Can you add some screenshots?. I'd like to see it. I tried with 480p, but that's a 16:9 resolution, too. ** edit ** I've asked excal to close the ppp2 thread. But if there are any bugs, i'll fix them. Just let me know them. |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
hi! thank you for the wonderful skin - it is the 1st I wanted to try after the default "sd" I used so far.
As you can tell I'm a newbie, so I probably made some errors: while the pages of the single movies are wonderful, the main index page (and also the intermediate ones when there is a selection of boxsets between which to choose before arriving to a single movie) seems to be exactly equal to the "sd" skin. Is it intentional? Or have I forgot something during the install? I tell you just that I nuked the Jukebox dir before installing ppp2-sd. any hint appreciated! alessandro |

The PPP2 (HD version) uses the default index skin, there was no special PPP2 index created. So did I for this first release. I've been thinking about releasing a version of PPP2-SD with the GFB107-SD index or possibly the excalrobins index. |

You should certainly do it - this skin is wonderful, but I think the effect is a bit spoiled when the 1st thing one sees is the default sd index. Just be careful with GFB107-SD, as I mentioned here > http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=21745 it contains a problem with the new indexing options. thank you! alessandro |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
concerning this skin,
I wanted to report an issue - or maybe it's a wrong setup... I was not used (in sd skin) to seeing the movie poster as full background to the movie details page - it's really wonderful! The problem is that in all cases it is correctly sized in width, but alway wrong in height, so that the bottom fifth (more or less) is a partial copy of the top image. It is some sort of variable that I have to change? alessandro |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
Quick question:
The Category list doesn't show on the left. I understand theres only so much space however, I'd prefer to not show the genre list. I use new and all buttons constantly on the hd screens.. I don't see an obvious way to get them to appear. how would I do that? |

Digging in the wiki http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wi...figuration , I have discovered a lot of options that alessandro |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
I don't mind tweaking. just hoping the answer is "oh I took that out to fit the screen, add this here to put it back"..
Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I'll edit the genres to add the ones I have to fill out the list better and see if I can get cats to appear. oh for your skin size issue, you'll find the fanart dimensions in the skin.properties located in the skins/ppp2-sd folder actually anything.properties is a file you can edit to change settings and tweak some behavior around.. in my case, what I want was removed from the template, I found it and put it back and then tweaked genres around to shorten the list |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
@alexxx
Are you a PAL user? I have the background (fanart) dimensions set for NTSC 720x480. PAL would be 720x576 (i think) Re: Categories list I didn't change anything in the default SD index. I think it removed the New, Movies, TV shows categories to save space. I use New a lot myself so I want to get that back in sometime. Or are you saying the categories list doesn't display at all? I have not had that happen to me. |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
The genre list (the list from genre.xml) does show, but the All, New, top250, HD, TV, etc from categories.xml does not show at all.
looking at the index.xsl that came in the ppp2-sd there was no template to show them. I just put that part back in since it was pretty standard left bar default skin stuff. then I modified genre.xml while looking at the genres my videos had attached to fill in the subcats better.. so SCI-FI for me is sci-fi and fantasy, etc etc.. |

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
I'll have to take a look at that sometime. It's very possible that I missed including some files when I copied stuff from the default sd skin.

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
my install is from 1.0.16 and the default SD skin only has a the genres.. perhaps your using an older default sd skin which used to have it and didn't know that the newest version is different.

RE: [SKIN] PPP2-SD
I'm using the svn version. The SD default index only includes the genres (confirmed by looking at the differences between the HD and SD defaults)
I just updated the RAR on Omertron's site with a new index.xsl file. Pretty much a copy of the Default HD index file. It now displays links to all the "Other" indexes (Movies, Tv, top 250), as well as fixing what I considered a layout problem on the posters. |
