PCH-A100 Dead Possibly?
I was watching a show, then the PCH (that I have had for a little over a year) just went dead. Now there is no power light or any lights, but the internal HDD spins up when you plug in the power. I tried removing the HDD, and also leaving the unit unplugged for around 10 minutes. Anything else I can try? If not, is there a service to fix it, or do I have to buy a new unit? Thanks for your time.

If the HDD spins up then try the Recovery Procedure, top of this forum.

Still no luck, never get any video on the TV, from composite or component, also no lights come on at all. I'm sad

Can you ping it?
Can you try a different TV or power supply? Can you try a different power lead? What happens with the Recovery Procedure? Did the USB stick get accessed? Jumper on and off tried? RE: PCH-A100 Dead Possibly?
- No Ping - and no light ever on the router LAN port that it plugs into
- Tried different TV, not a different power supply - I will look around to see if I have a power supply that might work. - Not sure what you mean by different power lead - Nothing ever happened during the Recovery Procedure, other than the HD spin up - I don't know if the USB was ever accessed since I never saw any activity, other than the HD spin up - Jumper on and off tried |

Contact sales and ask, over a year old it won't be under warranty, but they might offer to fix it for a fee.
