Hi,
I am trying to enter my webkey into the popcornhour to be able to connect to my wifi network. I have a wireless livebox (dutch). The space i have on the popcornhour isn't long enough for my 26 character wep-key .... What kind of bull**** is this ??? Does anyone have any idea what i could do ? |

RE: Entering key not working
Iam very sorry for my remark. I was just so exited to begin and then run iinto something silly as this.
I have a wn-100 connected to my PCH (wireless).Which in turn should conenct to my network. Network consists of wireless livebox modem with USB wireless stick in pc. After scan PCH sees my Modem (wireless modem form livebox). Only have to fill in wep-key to fully connect. But as i said there is not enough space on the pch to fill in the complete wep-key. |

RE: Entering key not working
When I last entered my WEP key it was only about 12 characters long, my WPA-TSK key is less than that.
Change the length of the key in your transmitting device, the livebox. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: Entering key not working
Actually, the key is longer than that.. you just don't have to enter the key but the passphrase
![]() Setup a passphrase on your livebox and use that instead of the hexkey. If you can't setup a passphare google around for a wep key generator which generates a key based on a passphrase and again, use that passphrase on the pch instead of the full key. Please read the A-Series or C-200 FAQ before posting, you may save time and find your answer |

RE: Entering key not working
I have managed to change the wep to a wpa.
And i have been able to connect my pch to my wireless modem using wifi. After that i ran into another problem. After establisching the wireless conenction from my pch to my modem i lost the wireless connection of my pc to my wireless modem. I now have it conencted through a fixed line and it is working.. But i would like to make it work wireless. It says i am locally connected to my modem (from pc) but without internet. Now i dont know whether i am streaming through my cable or though my wireless.. I suspect my cable.. ANy idea what to do to make my wireless connection work with my pc to my modem ? |

RE: Entering key not working
Normally if you are connected to your LAN but cannot get internet access your DNS addresses are wrong.
Also move to a static wireless ip once you have connected via WiFi. Enter the ip that your router gives it and the other ip details including DNS addresses. Set your router to always use the same ip when the PCH/WN100 connects via WiFi. Start again from the start follow the WIKI:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...figuration Look to setup a static ip LAN:- http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

it still isn't working to my satisfaction
Back to step 1 please!...
intro: I have it all working with a cable connected from pc to my livebox modem and wireless access from my pch to my modem. setup: pc wireless connection on dynamic ip ip:192.168.1.11 pc wired connection on dynamic ip ip:192.168.1.10 PCH on wireless manual ip ip:192.168.1.12 subnet: 255.255.255.0 standard gateway: 192.168.1.1 Pri DNS: 208.67.222.222 Sec DNS:208.67.220.220 problem: But now i tried to get it to work all wireless so i took out the cable from pc to my livebox wireless modem. (so no more wired LAN connection). now it doesn't work anymore. I think i tried everything but maybe i am doing things in the wrong order or anything. What have i tried so far: i Tried to put my own pc wireless connection on a static ip adres - This worked in the beginning but afterwords it didnt work anymore. How did i do this? i filled in ip 192.168.1.11 subnet: 255.255.255.0 Standard gateway: 192.168.1.1 Pri DNS: 208.67.222.222 Sec DNS:208.67.220.220 I heards it was necessary to turn off DHCP in my livebox. So i turned off DHCP in livebox... But then i had to internet whatsoever.. Then i saw my livebox had a gateway and 2 DNS adresses that are different from the one onmy pc .. Is this normal? Cus i seem to be able to get a static ip on my pc but then PCH cant connect to my pc anymore to stream the files.. Can you please tell me what to do step by step..... Also with pressing Reg buttom on my modem when to do this if it is necessary that is.. |

RE: Entering key not working
Right like you say start from scratch.
Do you want a wireless or wired connection to the NMT? You say wireless but are you fine with the connection being too slow for anything other than SD xvid via the USB dongle. Copying content is quickest via FTP but again is slow. If you have to have wireless then so be it. Turn your router DHCP back on. Change your NMT setup to wireless auto and then let the uSB dongle connect. Got to go to work back later. I managed to get a connection when I disabled all security. My Linksys router works with WEP 128 bits (unfortunately no WPA for me). I tried to use the "Passphrase:" from my Linksys as key for the NMT, but it did not work. I tried WEP 64 bits (= 10 hex digits) and used Key1 from my Linksys as key and it worked. Then I configured the Linksys with WEP 128 bits. Entering 26 hex digits is no fun.... especially when the NMT refreshes screen after some time.... So I ended up entering 6 digits at a time, press save every time, and then continue with the next 6 digits. That way I was able to enter my 26 digits, and the NMT's Wifi connection is working ok now... |
