Where is the 'browser' filter defined?
I've posted a problem with the browser in the PCH-110 forum about browsing problems.
Basically, the 'browser' option seems to filter on subtitles. Nothing else shows. The other options show only videos, audio etc, as they should. The above happens only on attached EXT3 USB disks and network-shared NTFS disks. The internal disk behaves normally. I'm using kdoske v0.2 if that makes a difference, and the latest firmware/software for the PCH-110. Any idea where I can see what filter the browser function is using? Is it different depending on type of source accessed? Thanks in advance. |

RE: Where is the 'browser' filter defined?
here is what the filters should show.
I personally think it would be useful to have an 'all filter' as in do not filter. |

RE: Where is the 'browser' filter defined?
Not from the main menu, but there is a link you can plug into your index.htm to see all files (aka no filters).

RE: Where is the 'browser' filter defined?
Thanks for the comments.
excal would you have a link to a how-to for this particular index.htm modification? I had a look at the filtering link but I'm still confused. 'Other' (I suppose the same as 'browser') mentions 'etc'. From the looks of it, and your comments, it doesn't mean 'everything' but instead 'all other supported types not mentioned in the previous 3 options'). That would explain why I only see *.srt files when I browse (only supported 'other' file type I have there). But since I'm browsing the movie folder, why does it start playing the video if there's not any 'other' file types in that folder? Say, there's just a VIDEO_TS subfolder, or an ISO, AVI and such. With this behaviour, how is it possible to turn on FileMode operations for the files in the folder? |

That shows all file types the NMT knows about but does not show all files. eg. I have some Linux binary files on the drive and it won't list them. Still, much better then what I had. |

RE: Where is the 'browser' filter defined?
The localhost.drives:8883/HARD_DISK/">No filter link (as also defined in kdoske) does show all supported file types in the hard disk.
But what about the attached USB drives or network shares? Their default menu seems to use filter=4. Where is this index.htm coming from? Do I have to create an index.htm and put it on the root of all these shared sources just to override the default? Has anybody done that? Any samples? It would be simpler to just modify the global default index.htm, wherever that is. |
