How to make a share on A110 to read from XP hdd ?

Hi,

I have my A110, and can read from the internal hard-drive no problem.

I also made a share on my dreambox so I can record movies directly on the popcorn thanks to NFS share app.

Problem now : I can't access a Windows Directory shared on my network, going from Source Media and Network Browser, then my XP machine, I can see the directories, but when i select one it says "Cannot find the workgroup list".

When i try to add a shared netword resource Network shares menu in the A110, i put the name of the share, the ip of the pc machine, but it says "Unkown filesystem type".

I am wondering if the PCH is able to read files from NTFS partition ...

Any clue ?

P.S. : I am also wondering why everyone is talking about myiHome, is it the only way to read mkv from a netowrked ntfs partition ??

MyiHome is easy to setup and get wokring, it also uses http which is the quickest network protocol. Only drawback is no ISO playback.

It doesnt matter than your drives are NTFS formatted as they are in your PC and any NMT can read NTFS drives.

Setup your Network correctly as that's where your problems lie, also go to Maintenance>Press filemode and Clear Cache.

ok, thank you for your answer but my first answer is : do I need myiHome absolutely to access my PC files ?

Then, do you think the problem comes from my share ? strange because I can access this share from other PCs on my lan ... what could it be ?

P.S. : thanks for the wiki, very complete, but can't find anything i haven't done.
