Is it possible if I would like to copy the movie into internal harddisk in the NMT without using FTP client. Just like in Windows OS copy then paste or using copy to.
Possible? Thanks! |

RE: Can I copy movie in network media source??
Yes, if your running the SMB server. It will look like another Windows desktop on your network.
It won't be fast though. |

RE: Can I copy movie in network media source??
You mean access it in computer by using "\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\share" then copy it right?
I mean can I copy the movie into NMT by using NMT itself? Just to browse for a movie in my network then copy it into harddisk, then play. I need this because I'm using wireless as a connection so sometime speed is not good enough. I need to backup it to harddisk first then play for the better performance. Thanks again! |

RE: Can I copy movie in network media source??
Yes, you can do it either way. You can do it on the computer or on the NMT. I prefer the computer because I find the GUI interface on the NMT a little awkward. If you know a few Unix commands and have telnet installed, you can also use the NMT shell to copy from the computer to the NMT.
Anyway, the answer to your question is "yes". |

If you have a hard drive installed in the NMT and telnet installed from the CSI then all you do is type "telnet MNT_IP". Of course, this still requires a computer and you didn't want that. Read this wiki entry and pay close attention to the "file mode" section. http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...te_Control |

Thanks again nuke12.
Telnet is required computer just like you have said. I have read for your given URL and found that the File Mode option. It has a several options for file management. I will try it if it can work with the movie file. |
