1080p24 stutter

I have my PCH a110 going to my anthem avm50v and out to my projector. Both my pre pro and projector support 1080p24. My external hard drive that I use to store movies on is attached to a pc via usb cable. And the pc and the PCH are ethernet wired to my router. The files are either m2ts and ts - happens with both types.

Anyway, when I set the output in the pch to 1080p24 (or 23.97), every now and then there is some stutter/judder on movements. This is native 1080p24 blu ray content. I've found by outputting 1080p60 it goes away and plays perfectly.

However I'd like to be able to output 1080p24. Could the culprit be the fact that the PCH has to go through the computer to get to the external hard drive? Soon I'll be getting a HP Media Server which will replace way I'm doing it now.

Any suggestions?
