PCH can't find MyIHome
Helo there,
My PCH A-100 has been working fine but I changed antvirusprogram and after that PCH can only see what I have in windows mediaplayer 11, not myihome. I changed from Norton 360 to F-secure (provided by my ISP). I think the later uses the windows firewall and the earlier it's own firewall. In norton I could browse my network and allow/deny devices which was very handy. But with F-Secure it's windows firewall that I think is the issue. As I said, my pc can find the PCH and browse it through the PCH's myihome server, UnPnP and through regular network in the explorer. PS3 also finds the PCH. And plays what it can off it just fine. So all but the myihome srver I'm running on the PC seems to work. Any tips on what I need to unlock in the firewall? I have opened the IP adress (made static), ports 8000-8001 and added myihome.exe a well as myihome server.exe to excemptions. No luck... Cheers Well, webservices worked. As per instrutions elsewhere. |

RE: PCH can't find MyIHome
Add the following to your firewall exceptions as well as myihome.exe:-
myihome-server.exe procview.exe mDNSresponder.exe Also open these ports:- myiHome opens up ports 7999, 8000, and 9001 (as well as UDP port 1900, but that's not really applicable here) Also try turning off any router DNLA or upnp service if you are not using it. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: PCH can't find MyIHome
Did that and tried. Nothing sadly.
Did I mention I don't like Windows Vista's firewall... ![]() PS3 finds the PCH through the UnPNP so I'll kepp iton for now. This doesn't matter much, I'm going back to old familiar Norton anyways starting Monday. But it'd be fun to know how to solve this little particular oddity. |
