Useless speed using Transmission
I'm having really big problems getting good speed when downloading torrents using Transmission to my PCH110.

I have the latest Transmission 1.72.

The speeds I'm getting are like at most 50kb/s.

When I use Utorrent on my PC I get speeds up to 5mb/s.

I have connected my PCH with a cable, so there is no WIFI that could slow it down.

Any ideas how i can increase my speeds?

There are many possible reasons why you're not getting high speeds. Have you tried downloading the same torrent with the same settings from your PC, and is the speed any different?
I've managed to get about 1MB/s using transmission on the PCH. I can get 1.9MB/s max using my PC, so I assume there is some slow down because of the PCH processor and perhaps inherent in the transmission client itself.
Check that the torrent site you are using has enough seeds etc to get proper DL speed. Also check that you have a decent DL/UL restriction. Usually needs to be a restriction of 50KB upload when dL'ing

I have tried the same torrent, and the difference is huge. Right now I'm downloading the same file to my PC getting speeds up to 9mb/s, and when using transmission I get like 10kb/s.

I also have tried to restrict the upload speeds, but that don't matter.

Anyone have any ideas, would be great to be able to download directly to my PCH.

I know for a fact that it's possible to get around 4-5mb/s because I get those speeds when I upload via FTP.

So, I asume the problem lies with Transmission.

RE: Useless speed using Transmission
I agree with you, webkocken. The speed issue seem to be Transmission not network medium or NMT because I get the slow speed too!

But there is no choice to choose the different bittorrent client on NMT, so I need to stick on it.

Transmission jumpy speed issue is a common issue. Transmission is good on private trackers. Use cTorrent for public trackers, its even light-weight and faster. I assume you are having this jumpy speeds issue on public trackers.

RE: Useless speed using Transmission
First i tried to use the default torrent download (transmission ?).
The download speed was very poor (about 20Kb).
I installed Ctorrent with the Community Software Installer. check http://nmtinstaller.com.
You can install many software directly to the popcorn with this tool.

After i installed Ctorrent i had a download speed of 500KB/s (max speed).
But the speed is not very contstant.
