PCH-A100 wont play files.
I´ve just got my popcorn hour in, connected it and updated the firmware to the latest version. I haven´t any HDD installed in it yet.
It connects to a samba share on my synology 107, where my videos is. The PCH and NAS has a wired connection. My problem is, that the player plays about 3-5 seconds of the files, then it stops, and say: Could not play. Ive tryed a number of different files (avi, mpg, wmv) but all does the same. I have to restart the devise, before i can choose another file. What to do ? Would it help me to have a harddive in, that the PCH can buffer to ? |

RE: PCH-A100 wont play files.
Try to reboot the PCH and then choose different files. If you have one or more incompatible files, they can cause a memory leak that will also cause subsequent files not to play, despite that they would play given no memory leak.
A soft reboot is performed like this: Press the POWER button on the remote. Release it. Wait 2 seconds. Press the USB Eject button, then release it. Wait while the player reboots. Then try to play a different file. The first file that will give you a 'Could not play' message is a likely culprit for being incompatible. Use MediaInfo to analyze suspect files and post the text output here in the forum for review, see this guide: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid208541 Media tank:A-100 & C-200 TV:Panasonic TH-50PY800MT (HDMI) Audio:Logitech Z-5500 (Coaxial) |
