2 Iso's

I have a 2dvd set which are both ripped to iso, one is a directors cut, In yamj 5150 skin, it shows up, but only as 1 dvd, but when i click play, it cannot play, i tried the renaming to dic1 & 2 as mentioned in the wiki, how do i set up to iso's?

are you using myIhome? If so, it will never play, as myiHome doesn't play nice with .iso's.

You need to name them:

Code:

Moviename [PART1] - The main movie.avi
Moviename [PART2] - The Directors Cut

You might also want to consider the latest version of YAMJ as it doesn't create playlists for ISO files.

Having said all that, some skins automatically assume that more than one part means to use a playlist, so you might have to log the issue with the skin author.

Does version 1027 fix the issue where iso's don't play from the poster then? I've looked at the issue list and it still looks open (issues 840)?

No, r1027 was about not creating a playlist for ISO files as they don't play from a playlist.

Problem here is twofold in regards to the 5150 skin. By default the 5150 skin uses the combined playlist for multipart movies. Second issue is that ISOs won't play from a playlist (as mentioned above).

You need to go into the skin properties and change multiparthandling from single to classic. That will give you the seperate playback options. Problem is that it will do that for all titles including ones you actually want single behavior for.

Looks like I'll need to do some updating to the skin to account for r1027.

Okay, thanks. Is the "iso not playing from index page only from detail page" something that is fixable or is it a more fundamental issue?

Not a big deal by any means. Since I got the PCH in December I've had 4 friends buy one all on the strength of seeing YAMJ on mine!!

The playing from the thumbnail index is a skin issue rather than a specific YAMJ issue
