Video files lost on A100
Evening all,
I loaded a few videos on to my A100 last night(internal HD) through the USB using EXT2 volume manager. Did all the usual flush cache.. Booted up the NMT and watched a movie. This evening I turn the machine on and it won't recognise the video foler on the HD. 'Request cannot be processed' Nothing changed from last night. Music plays fine and when I put t back into the USB and check via pc it can see all the files. Any ideas? Much appreciated as I am new to PCH and losing patience with it. Cheers |

RE: Video files lost on A100
Try going to Maintenance in Setup and pressing the filemode key on your remote. Then select Clear Cache.
You have done the USB Fast Copy method as opposed to the USB slave haven't you as A100 doesn't have USB slave. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

I followed the mpclub webiste guide and you fluch the cache as you exit the program. It worked the first few times but and the day before. But overnight the drive or the pch decided to go funny. If I go to extendedGaya and somewhere in there there was a text file with the directory structure. If I drilled down the video folder looked like a test file so i think the folder has been corrupted. If i try to rename from the pch, it say directiry or folder does not exist, but i can access or play from the USB drive. I may have done something with the filesystem of that one directory, but I don't know how or why. Update: I've created a new file using pch. Transfered the files to the new file and I can now access the old video folder and view the videos in the new folder. Handy to know but I don't know why cheers |
