BluRay with Extras - is this the best way?
Okay, I'm using the following naming convention for movies with extras:
Batman [SET Batman-1] Batman_Extras 1 [SET Batman-2] Batman_Extras 2 [SET Batman-3] And this has the effect of one "Batman" movie showing in my main movie page(s), and when I click on it, I get three "Batman" movies listed. The problem is, the three all have the same cover, and have the same name "Batman", so other than knowing the first one is the movie, there's no way to distinguish them. Further, I'd (eventually) like to give the extras specific names and descriptions as well, perhaps even a different image/cover. I was thinking that NFO files would be the way to do this, but I can't figure out how to do an NFO file when using a SET. Any ideas on the right approach for giving the Extras unique name/descriptions/images? Or if I should be doing extras in a completely different way (other than SET)? Thanks! |

RE: BluRay with Extras - is this the best way?
You can do what I did with my Alternate Endings issue.
Name it Batman Batman[Trailer-Extras1] Batman[Trailer-Extras2] Run yamj, then go to your jukebox folder, search for the Batman.html file and edit it to remove the word Trailer. Its the only file you need to edit. Then thats it. Just save the file and refresh the page on your player. You will see the two files where the trailers would normally be. |

Do this for all 3 movies. 2. Create nfo files for all 3 movies. Include the title, id and set tags. You can call the movie anything you want, point it back to imdb for all other details and combine the 3 movies under a single set. You'll find the skinny on sets here and review the XBMC NFO movie xml details here Personally I use the the format below. Just it only allows the use of one image and it creates a play all link which you may not want. MovieName.[PART1] - MovieName.avi MovieName.[PART2] - Extras.avi Yanfoe Home Page |

(07-13-2009 12:10 AM)tommyboy70 Wrote: thanks guys With three trailers you dont need to make any edits at all. Just name it like this: Ice Age Ice Age[TRAILER-1] Ice Age[TRAILER-2] Ice Age[TRAILER-3] Run YAMJ. Then when you go to the move Ice Age you will see TRAILER-1 TRAILER-2 TRAILER-3 Which is fine for trailers. I was editing the html file to remove the word trailer for things like deleted scenes, extras, et. For that you edit the main html for the movie example Ice Age.html dont worry about any other html files for the trailers. Then in the ice age.html find </a>TRAILER-1</div> and change only TRAILER-1 to the text you want. The link itself will still point to the ice age[trailer-1] file. You are only changing the text link name nothing else. |

It would be perfect if they also keyed off [Extras-*] to do the exact same thing. Would save a bunch of time on editing HTML files.
