Hmm, check your router log entries too.

Depending upon your Paranoia level, search for trojans/spyware on your PC.

Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn.

Is the remote point "192.168.1.6", your PCH? If so, login and run netstat -a and see what app is running on that port.

PCH A-100, A-110 & A-200

RE: Is smbdy hacking my comp. thru PCH?
Thanks for the input guys -

I don't play Myth... in fact I didn't know what it was until just under a minute ago when I googled it. But you're right lordYdrol, from the port it looks like a port myth/bungie.net uses - but why and how would Myth do in my PCH?? (192.168.1.6 is the internal IP of my PCH.)

I really hope it's no trojan... I use Spybot and AdAware and Avira Antivirus. None of my Avira scans turn up anything. Any ideas for other scanning methods that might be more effective?

You mentionned a couple of days ago wanting to try Spotify http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=24707 That sure looks like the culprit. Seems like others have it too http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/tags/port

Indeed it is.

I assume you mean START/Run / cmd - but what is the login syntax, I've never logged in that way?

Yep - it is Spotify that the remote connection is trying to access. But it's an incoming connection, so I don't understand why it is coming from my PCH?

It's possible I make several fundamental errors of network logic by my reasoning, but the way I understand it, my PCH should not be involved in the communication between my laptop that is running Spotify, and the Spotify server which must be located outside my LAN - even outside the WAN, I would guess??
